Presidential Election (in Off-topic)

My GF just started a Political Science/American Government class and has to follow the election. Neither of us are into politics at all so i was wondering if anyone knows where to get some info or some good places to follow. She has to follow it as though she were going to vote so the less bias the better i would assume. Thanks in advance.

Uhm I highly recommend Colbert Report and The Daily Show, not for primary election information, but rather they will poke fun and explain whats going on in a different perspective than most the news stations and will show the faults in the news (mainly fox news) reporting. =P

Daily Show and Colbert are awesome, imo. But they are also liberally biased. the above three sites require information be factual and properly presented. As it is often easy to use facts to paint a misguiding picture of things and how they are. I can use the same 10 facts to tell 30 different "true" stories all made up off the top of my head. Many are actually better at this than I am, so things can be VERY tricky. These sites at least allow you to look at information, the context from which it is derived, and all other aspects of any claims made by them in a strictly factual and unbiased (I believe so anyway) manner.

The important thing is to do research and NEVER take information at face value. Just about EVERYONE has an angle, especially on topics such as these. And never argue politics.

can not help with the left, just turn on the tv and you can get that on most any channel, not fox. they do have a couple shows.

Watch out for many of those sites Thug posted, they are biased towards right wing radical views. The more moderate republican views can be seen on the Washington Post and The American Spectator.

As for more liberal views, you can check out The New York Times or Huffington Post (pretty left wing radical also).

My favorite place for learning about politics is on here: Reddit Political Discussion or on the main politics hub which has links to the many other political subreddits such as libertarian, green party, Occupy Wall Street factions, Republican and Democrat factions.

The best site that has both liberal and conservative articles, as well as the best of general articles and the latest polls is www.realclearpolitics.com.

For almost every liberal articles the have the conservative counter and vica versa.
