I suck. (in General)

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] October 28 2012 9:58 AM EDT

Hey guys, so I'm running into a serious issue where my Strategy is starting to Stagnate already and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. The main reason I'm losing is due to lack of damage during ranged and/or lack of survivability, which hasn't changed no matter how much I pump into HP and ignore AMF.

I'm not really on an XP Training % of any kind. Just dumping all into HP when I need it or all into AMF.

Current NW: $5,356,538
Encumbered At: 36,578,009

I believe this to be the main area that I might be hurting myself, my Enc/Gear. My DB are stupidly low for what they could be at right now, at +50, and my RoBF is about 300k under my MTL of 826k.

So, outside of upgrading gear, which is a long process right now, are there any other suggestions ya'll can see for my Strat?

Train at least a smattering of DX (10k, 50k or so), at that level it might actually matter more than upgrading the DBs.
You could try some token magic damage, probably MM, not very much, but at least a bit of it... or at least seriously consider hiring a wall minion, either straight up front wall, or PL back wall.

Of course, those are just personal opinions, and other variations could be better for you.

I'd also go with a wall, single minion RoBF strats are hard to run without good gear to back them.

Do you have money to spend on your strat? Otherwise I can't give you much advise.

If you don't have any money then the best bet for you is to untrain everything. Dump it all into some EC with maybe 50k-100k hp and just focus on teams with str and GA damage until you have some money to do stuff.

why so little hp? wouldn't the GA tear him up? oh wait, RoBF isn't affected by GA right? That's a pretty good idea!

I'm sitting on about 2.3mil right now to invest, but thats about it. I might swap out to that strat for now and just try to pump my Tattoo as huge as I can.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] October 28 2012 4:59 PM EDT

Yeah...probably the best thing to do is later get an Exbow and pump up dex with a decent amount of strength (200k-500k) and some Bgs. Then put on a base dagger or something and basically just incapacitate fighters with your bow and let the RoBF finish them off.

Then you could focus on training AmF or use a mage shield and HP for magic damage.

But it costs a bit to get the Exbow into the 1 hit range.

So, I forget, would a base decay work at all with my current strat or would it eat itself?

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] October 28 2012 5:33 PM EDT

Base decay would make GA and AMF eat you alive.

Sickone October 29 2012 9:21 AM EDT

Or, you can hire two minions.
One with base decay, base HP, max EC, up in front.
Keep your current minion in the middle.
One with heavy HP, some PL and halfway decent armour in the back.

I find that it is VERY rare to find an opponent that does not have a defense against a base decay. Adding a base decay will almost certainly not change your fight list. Look elsewhere for any significant improvements.

The issue with hiring a second or even third minion is cost. As it stands now, to hire a second one, I'm looking at about 7mil for the Higher Cost and thats the only way to go to give him any kind of chance of being useful for a while. I might just rough it out and consider this NCB scrapped already and look into a 2-3 Setup from the start for my next one.

Sickone October 29 2012 10:47 AM EDT

Nah, go with the cheap hiring option.
The addition of a killslot or two alone will greatly enhance your survivability already.
They'll pick up enough XP to be more useful in a short while.

Alternatively, start your next NCB now with 3 or even 4 minions from the word go.

I'd say go with my strat above and just farm money with this one. Your clan score will probably suck, but you could get a really good challenge bonus. More money could really help your next run :]
