T93: Hell Blender (in Contests)

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 25 2014 5:58 AM EDT

I hope this one works out. It might mess up things. Anyways, the rules are pretty simple. Anything goes, highest average Score, PR and MPR wins.

The catch is that there should be absurd amounts of ba to burn.

The tourney is 1 week long starting from Apr 30th running until May 7th noon server time. The bonus is 100%.

Please note that I won't be available right when the tourney starts as that will coincide with my flight back to the states. Hopefully there should be no problems.

Have fun burning your 400,000 BA ^_^

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 25 2014 5:59 AM EDT

Prizes will be announced soon.

Achertontus [Sneezels] April 25 2014 6:24 AM EDT

400k ba? sweet mother of god! or should I say, sweet mother of demons!

Newlin [SeeD] April 25 2014 6:42 PM EDT

I may have to take work off next week to burn all that BA!

Thraklight Resonance April 25 2014 10:08 PM EDT

That's only 2,280.95 BA per hour for 168 straight hours and somewhere between 100 and 150 bot checks per hour. I predict an uptick in the number of new Carpal Tunnel Syndrome cases on May 8th!

TourneyPrizes [TheQueensMelee] April 29 2014 10:30 AM EDT

Prizes:

1st: A Helm of Clearsight [-5] (+10) $612,554 and $1,000,000
2nd: A Sling of Death [5x420] (+7) $3,670,287 and $500,000
3rd: A Pair of Elven Boots [10] (+22) $1,075,996 and $200,000

Participation (must have >25% of first place): $200,000

The tourney starts soon. Good luck everyone.

DoS April 30 2014 1:56 PM EDT

This will be fun. I hope I can spend some time on this :)

DoS May 1 2014 4:14 PM EDT

GRIND GRIND GRIND!!!

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] May 1 2014 6:48 PM EDT

Don't think I've ever seen this many bot checks.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] May 2 2014 2:11 AM EDT

To burn all the BA, the person has to spend 66.6 hours with a 50 man fight list.

Kefeck [Demonic Serenity] May 2 2014 2:37 AM EDT

Your ability to fight has been disabled for 2 minutes. Note that multiple suspensions will result in longer penalties, however you will continue to regenerate BA

To prevent this from occurring in the future, make sure that the fight page has finished loading before trying to fight again.

Anyone else been getting this?

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] May 2 2014 4:07 AM EDT

Nope! I'll be sure to take full advantage of it tho and surpass you during its time ;).

Achertontus [Sneezels] May 2 2014 4:19 AM EDT

Kefeck, you get that when you spam the "fight" button to quickly. You should have had the warning screen saying something like: Too allow fair access to everyone you can only fight one battle at the time... something. Meaning you started a new fight before the previous one was finished calculating. Perhaps your browser is slower than the server and doesnt display the screens on time.

DoS May 2 2014 9:52 PM EDT

Kefeck, I got that up to 4 mins the other night tehehe.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] May 3 2014 5:16 AM EDT

Seems like there is a bug with Tourney Score. Lots of characters show tournament scores way lower than they should be. An obvious example is the character The Incredible Hulk which should have a score way higher than 1.

Incredible Hulk May 3 2014 9:32 AM EDT

Yeah, what's up with that? lol

[Quoth]The Raven May 3 2014 10:44 AM EDT

Puny Hulk.

Achertontus [Sneezels] May 3 2014 12:33 PM EDT

And im out of the tourney. Im not very sad about it since its because ive got a girlfriend since a few days ago! Me is happy! Good luck to all of to all of you!

Incredible Hulk May 3 2014 4:58 PM EDT

Oxymoron, Raven, oxymoron and untrue. >:)

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] May 3 2014 6:08 PM EDT

I feel like the tourney scores are being calculated from the point in the past rather than when the tourney started. For instance, Immortal's score is about 500k or so lower than it should be, and that score doesn't change much.

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] May 3 2014 7:28 PM EDT

Yes there are a few issues with the tourney score and it also does record score from a point in the past.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] May 3 2014 8:51 PM EDT

I thought it generated the score at the start of the tournament.

[Quoth]The Raven May 4 2014 4:02 PM EDT

Achertontus: Prioritizing a new relationship over a CB tournament is probably a good sign. Keep up the good work!

Incredible Hulk: If you were really sure it was an oxymoron, your subconscious wouldn't have insisted you add "... and untrue" as a coda.
Perhaps you need to closely examine your feelings about the relative puniness of giant green rage monsters?

Incredible Hulk May 4 2014 7:41 PM EDT

Raven: I added "and untrue" because oxymorons are often exaggerations as well as matters of opinion, such as "Government Intelligence" being accepted as an oxymoron. No subconscious thought involved, but meticulous conscious thought: Government agents are, in fact, quite intelligent, which contradicts the insulting assumption that they are stupid. I was merely stating that "Puny Hulk" was an oxymoron in actual, factual reality, and not just an opinion like the oxymoron "Government Intelligence". In short, "Government Intelligence" isn't a factual oxymoron, while "Puny Hulk" is a factual oxymoron. The Hulk is the strongest there is, so there is nothing puny about him, unless you shallowly focus on the size of his physical body and compare it to the size of larger objects in the universe, all of which The Hulk can easily destroy. If you want to focus on his physical body, however, at least have a moniker relating to something of a larger size than The Incredible Hulk. A silly, emo raven calling The Incredible Hulk "puny" is laughably ridiculous. ;)

Consider this thread hijacked!

[Quoth]The Raven May 7 2014 12:35 PM EDT

Incredible Hulk - While your explanation is interesting, it does raise a couple of points for me.

Point the first, your meticulous conscious thought doesn't appear to have prevented you feeling the need to add another caveat to your claim that "Puny Hulk" is a factual oxymoron. If you need to denigrate alternative comparisons as "shallow" you're implicitly admitting that such comparisons are possible, that they are matters of opinion, and therefore "Puny Hulk" is not as irresistibly factual even in your own mind as you wish me to believe. Perhaps your subconscious was sneaking around as you typed and on review you needed to be as dismissive as possible of the unfortunate idea.

Point the second, these larger objects in the universe that the Incredible Hulk could easily destroy presumably include stars and other interesting cosmic phenomena. Leaving aside the more exotic objects in the universe for the moment. How would the Hulk go about destroying a star? Would he spring from the Earth, zoom through the intervening space and punch the thickest concentration of gas he could find? Perhaps he was thrown or dropped into/onto the surface of a star, inasmuch as a star has one. Does he then scream "Hulk Smash" in the vacuum and pound his fists down onto the gas? Is he pulled deep into the core of the star until there is sufficient density for him to grab and punch or kick or 'smash' the higher elements of the periodic table? Perhaps his rage simply swells up and somehow overcomes the gravitational forces holding the mass of the star together?

I would very much like to know your thoughts on the second point!

Silly emo Raven.

DoS May 7 2014 1:43 PM EDT

Fun tournament! I'll wear the bronze crown with honor X)

Incredible Hulk May 7 2014 4:24 PM EDT

Took you a while to reply, lol, I thought you had taken the moral high ground and were trying to keep the conflict from escalating, but I guess you couldn't stop from giving in to your emo ways.

Now, the fact that you presume to know what's going on in my subconscious is something laughable by itself. How can you even know? The arrogance of your presumption overshadows the point you're trying to make!
Also, the "caveat" that you mentioned was actually just the explanation, but I guess it went over your head.
Now, to put the whole "Puny" thing to rest: the word "puny" is a term that is very much affected by opinion. To set the record straight: you will never change my opinion that the Hulk is not puny, and I doubt you will ever change your troll-opinion that he is, as well.
