I had this come up where my minion Dwan had his Anti magic Field fizzle under Dispel Magic yet my opponent never enacted Dispel Magic. What is up with this? I don't get it.

Dispel magic acts on all spells cast on your opponent. In this case, you cast your AMF on your opponent, and then dispel it. The Rune of Solitude protects you from your own dispel magic up to 25% of the tattoo level.

When you cast DM it will dispel your own EOs such as AMFor EC.

I don't have a tatoo.

Galfond's Dispel Magic is dispelling Dwan's Antimagic Field.

so it's not smart to have dispel magic with amf?

it will cost me 80k exp to unlearn AMF. doah.

Even without a RoS, you can use both spells effectively if your AMF's level is a lot higher than your DM's effect level, but the XP investment would be quite heavy, I think. Perhaps better to get a RoS, if you're not planning to use some other rune/tat/familiar.

It is better to just focus AMF or DM and then focus killing targets that are weak against whichever one you are using.
