Strategy (in General)

Tired of SFBM
Don't want 4 minions
want something cheap and easy

remember, I'm not always able to spend my ba

UC sucks, Archers are expensive (i.e. FGoD), and i've always done magesナ

i need something thats different

The two strategies that come to mind are ones focusing on the Halidon or RoBF.

For a Hal setup you could run a single minion, much like a single minion archer in terms of equipment, but instead train half in DM and the other half into either GA/AS/GS.

For the RoBF you could run a different single minion setup training half into HP and the rest into AMF with a small GA.

Both of these strategies prefer larger DBs but you should be fine with a smaller pair as well. If you want any other suggestions just say so Tal.

Alternatively on the Hal setup you can train evasion to the same level as your familiar's Dex and leave out the DBs.

Something along the lines of AoJ/Belegs/EBs/BoM/HoC with of course your halidon familiar. Its a quite effective strategy. Don't have to drop loads into a ELB.

Can always use HoE til you get a HoC if you don't have one :)

Sorry for triple post LOL but another thought. DBs can work as well but they would have to be quite large to make a large impact. I'd take the EBs

2 minions. 1st - high AC train purely HP and then a smaller (equal to the largest blow you are facing from current opponents) PL. 2nd - mage with decay and either AMF or DM and have your Familiar (fire or ice) with AoJ and some nice DD boosting gear (CoI, spell boosters, corn until you get HoC)

LOTS of different options, but a strat with a familiar or RoBF sounds like what you are looking for.

Oops, CoI wouldn't be available because of the familiar, but still the point stand.

Something along the lines of AoJ/Belegs/EBs/BoM/HoC with of course your halidon familiar

That's what I would do. As for training I'd get that evasion skill up to an equal level with the familiar's dexterity and then start at 50/50 for DM/GA like you said and tweak that ratio as needed.

AdminTal Destra August 24 2014 2:15 PM EDT

I have DBs but nothing else besides a fire familiar

Gary Oak August 24 2014 2:23 PM EDT

Ill keep my eyes out for some gear, atleast there's a BoM in auctions currently. Everything for that strategy is cheap besides HoC and AoJ, which AoJ is only a couple days of burning BA to get. And as stated before, HoE can be used until then :) if you need any help any time don't hesitate to CM me.

AdminTal Destra August 24 2014 5:21 PM EDT

I have all the gear i need besides a halidon familiar

DoS August 24 2014 6:11 PM EDT

Sent ya 2 tats to get you started :)

AdminTal Destra August 24 2014 6:26 PM EDT

Hell yeah!

NCB named after the two guys that gave me the gear.

Thanks Newlin and DoS!
