Introduction - elh354 (in New players)

Hey all!

I played for a little bit way back in CB1 days, and was pleasantly surprised when I recently discovered that CB is still around. I'm in the process of relearning the game, and am currently running an Enchanter/Mage team with a Steel Familiar.

If anyone has any advice, or useful E/M gear they'd like to sell, please let me know. The NUB has allowed me to scrape together a decent chunk of change. From what I read, it looks like Cloak of the Istari, Cornuthaum, and Noldorin Spellcasters are high priority items for me to get; but if anyone is selling gear I might have overlooked, please let me know!

A Helm of Clearsight is also absolutely essential for your strategy, as well as an Amulet of Junction so your familiar can fire an extra round too.

Thanks! Poppy was kind enough to hook me up with an amulet of junction already. I couldn't find any past auction data for the Helm of Clearsight in the help section - any estimate what I can expect to pay for one?

It's a supporter item, so a few million probably. Most supporter items go for I would say 3 - 4.5m depending on the item, or less if the seller is feeling generous.

Another newb question: for an enchanter running dispel magic and ablative shield, what's the optimal ratio of allocating experience between the two? Currently, my enchanter is dumping approximately 1/4 exp into dispel, and the other 3/4 into ablative.

Also, to the extent this is relevant, my mage has 4/5 of his total experience allocated to magic missile and the other 1/5 in hp; and he's running a steel familiar.
