Strategy and Comments

This is the ST Focused Armor set. This set allows for a base AC of [79] while maximizing ST bonuses. While using the Buckler of Mandos, the set allows for a base AC of [69].

Bonuses

• Plus 1% to base ST for each Enchantment bonus on Tulkas' Gauntlets.
• Plus 1% to base ST for each Enchantment bonus on Helm of Ecthelion.
• Plus 1% to base ST for each Enchantment bonus on Trollskin Armor.
• Plus 1% resistance to DD for each point of enchantment on Trollskin Armor. Effect decays by 50% each round of combat.
• Plus 1% to base ST for each Enchantment bonus on Buckler of Mandos (1/3 of this bonus is applied to two-handed weapons).

Penalties

• Negative 5% to DX and Skills
• Negative 19% to Direct Damage Spells (DD) cast by the wearer
• Negative 14.25% to Enchant Offense Spells (EO) cast by the wearer
• Negative 12.66% to Enchant Defense Spells (ED) cast by the wearer
• Negative 20 to Unarmed Combat (UC) used by the wearer

Shield Specific DX Penalties

Add the DX penalties found below to the 5% DX penalties

• Negative 4% to DX when equipped without a weapon
• Negative 8% to DX when equipped with 1-handed melee weapons and crossbow class weapons
• Negative 12% to DX when equipped with 1-handed melee weapons and bow class weapons
• Negative 20% to DX when equipped with 2-handed weapons
• Negative 24% to DX when equipped with 2-handed weapons and crossbow class weapons
• Negative 28% to DX when equipped with 2-handed weapons and bow class weapons

Also, using a Buckler of Mandos instead, you will be dealing with the following penalties.

• Negative 1% to DX and Skills
• Negative 3% to Direct Damage Spells, negative 2.25% to Enchant Offense Spells, negative 2% to Enchant Defense Spells
• Negative 5 to Unarmed Combat
• 5% penalty to DX with 2-handed melee weapons without ranged weapon or with Sling class ranged weapon.
• 2% penalty to DX with 1-handed melee weapons and a Crossbow class ranged weapon.
• 6% penalty to DX with 2-handed melee weapons and a Crossbow class ranged weapon.
• 3% penalty to DX with 1-handed melee weapons and a Bow class ranged weapon.
• 7% penalty to DX with 2-handed melee weapons and a Bow class ranged weapon.
• Cannot be worn with a tattoo.
