Win everything on 'backyard hole' if you guess why I'm quitting (in Contests)
I haven't played for long, since July to be more specific, but I have to quit. Whoever gets closest to why I am quitting wins everything in 'backyard hole's inventory (nothin much though, just a bunch of crap)... Ends tomorrow noon server time.

You've become extremely busy in real life due to something (new job, new pasttime, new romantic relationship, lots of homework, whatever it might be in your particular situation), and have decided that CB is not a priority and you are now freeing up some more time by not playing anymore.

You're quitting because the economy is glutted, certain aspects of the game give ridiculous advantages and strategies are all but moot. At least, that's why I'd contemplate quitting.

changing my guess your having a kid
great guesses... i suppose i'll through this one out too.. i'm quitting cb1 also.. sale will start today for everything on my char (usd only of course)(if anyone cares/plays cb1)
remember.. its the closest to the reason.. guesses like job or school probably won't make the cut since they are so general
The reason is you're now addicted to WoW, and don't have time or the interest to play CB (both one and two) any longer :)
i would say half these guesses are contributing reasons. But there is one main reason, and someone is closest right now.
oh and just cause this is fun reading the reasons.. i'm extending this to tomorrow noon server time... and adding the cash I have on 'backyard hole' (CB2 backyard hole, not cb1 backyard hole :-) also (minus xfer fees of course)

1. You got a new job and you're moving abroad
2. You lost your job and don't want to distract yourself with CB (you lost your job BECAUSE of CB)
3. You're tired of Stovakor's/Jibberish's unwanted advances
4. You're just plain tired of CB
expounding on my original guess:
You dont like (some or all of the following)
Bot checks
Chat mods
Spell check
PG-rule
forum bannings
Disclaimer: I dont have anything against the above :)
maybe Jon will use some of these to improve the game. Right.

You have to travel?
You are quitting because you hate feeling like you spent all that time playing CB1 and lost it all, everything on CB seems so fragmented and not as stable as it once was. The community is less malleable since the change, whether that is good or bad. The new CB isn't as fun as the old CB, the crazy rates of conversion between the two games have made the CB dollar and the CB2 dollar both very worthless?

I'll throw another guess into the ring.
Considering my first answer was the result my embittered whining, my second guess is this:
You've had to endure a month of reading Mythology's posts, and you are now a donkey-on-the-edge. You never saw this on CB1, so now, it's driving you around the bend to be in an environment where Myth is allowed to freely post.
Sent the stuff to: Falcon.

Your girlfriend (boyfriend? i am sure your a buy but just incase..) is getting mad at you for not being with her and chatting with us nerds (=P) in CB and if you don't quit she's dumping you.

February 7 2005 10:28 PM EST
after chatting with bast im gonna rephrase that:
Your boyfriend is getting mad at you for not spending time with him and chatting with us nerds on CB and if you don't quit he'll dump you.
For the record, I was only pointing out to TresDots that he probably meant to say you were a "boy" or "guy" and not a "buy", which looks like a whole different implication altogether and just really (really) spelled wrong. :)

It's just not the same with out Spid at the top beating the living daylights out of you. You just can't take the fact that you might actually be better then Todd, when he doesn't an unfair advantage.
Send to Adamantium Golem
You just can't live in a SNK3R-less game. It pains your heart to not see or hear him anywhere.
6. Bolfen - "3. You're tired of Stovakor's/Jibberish's unwanted advances 4. You're just plain tired of CB" (And Stov offering up my fiance, what a fiend)
5. smallpaul - "a job...=)" (My job suffers incredibly because of this freakin game, i actually get work done now)
4. Todd - "CB2 is lame?" (eh 'nuff said)
3. deifeln - "You can't stand Todd not being at the top of CB2 and your dog died. " (Todd at the top was like climbimg a mountain, what if there was no Everest and all you had to do is climb the Smokey Mountains and my dog didn't die)
2. Verifex - "You are quitting because you hate feeling like you spent all that time playing CB1 and lost it all, everything on CB seems so fragmented and not as stable as it once was. The community is less malleable since the change, whether that is good or bad. The new CB isn't as fun as the old CB, the crazy rates of conversion between the two games have made the CB dollar and the CB2 dollar both very worthless?" (Pretty much says it all, and for those who care i spent almost 1k USD on that stupid game(CB1))
And the #1 reason is......
1. [LousyCamper]3dotsOnFire - "Your girlfriend (boyfriend? i am sure your a buy but just incase..) is getting mad at you for not being with her and chatting with us nerds (=P) in CB and if you don't quit she's dumping you. "
Fiance to be more precise.
I could probably suck up all the rest of the reasons and continue to play, but my fiance is sick of me waking up early to play CB, coming home and getting on the computer to play CB, play CB during dinner, waking up at 3am to play CB (she would rather me watch TV with her (doesn't make sense to me))(can you tell i'm a programmer with all these ')') so we were on the virge of calling off the wedding last sunday, when I came to the conclusion that it was,in fact, my addiction to this game that was causing me to disconnect from her, as sad as that sounds.
So i told her i would quit this game for her. And since i havent been playing since last sunday (as much(i might sneak some here or there)) our relationship has gone back to where it was before CB. Where i actually listened to her, made dinner, blablabla. I didn't think this game was that big of a factor in my life but it was surprisingly enough. Maybe it was a subconcious thing where i needed a break from her or something, but i actually feel rejuvinated now that i don't play(just a little sad that i actually spent 1k USD).
So thats it. I'm quitting for love. I didn't think i could fall to an addiction (except for marijuana and cigerettes, of course) I stopped those cold turkey so I figure i could do the same with CB. Enjoy your time here. And I'll check in a year to see how CB3 is, if there is anyone around by then.
Oh and btw, I'm going to be selling my CB1 stuff also (for USD only).. thats the final part of my departure. Thanks to my clan members, Bolfen, Stov, Hellbender, IHit and GameOver (where ever they went). It was fun.
ps. GlowAngel and Tailz get noticeable mention since they were close too. (and they helped pump my tattoo at one point or another :-))

you're quitting because:
1) this game brings you school/work problems.
2) your family lost all its money and can't pay the internet
3) someone from your family is sick and you have to spend more time with she/he
4) you'll change jobs and you won't have access to the internet anymore
5) you found a better game that fills your free time
6) you don't have free time anymore
7) you realized this game is addictive and you don't wanna depend on it
8) you are loosing and you don't like it
9) you aren't decided if to quit or not but you want us to give you reasons for that
10) you just got bored/tired of this game
