Okay who knows the ins and outs of tattoos? (in General)

Mythology March 26 2005 8:51 AM EST

Some simple questions, anyone know the answer?

1) Is BA regen worked out with MPR or PR?

2) If I have a level 70,000 tattoo will it ad the same amount of PR to a 100K PR character as to a 50 pr character?

3) What is the rate of PR increase to level? Like 70%?

Lumpy Koala March 26 2005 9:08 AM EST

1) don't know

2) Yes

3) beats me

QBRanger March 26 2005 9:13 AM EST

1) MPR. as is forging ability. and the amount and cost of BA's you buy.

Mythology March 26 2005 3:36 PM EST

In other words, 'No', everyone just fighting along blind and confused... :p

QBsutekh137 March 26 2005 3:59 PM EST

Boy, someone sure has a hard time saying "thanks"...

Folks answered 1 and 2...correctly. That doesn't sound "blind and confused" to me.

As for question 3, take the 2% penalty by moving a tattoo somewhere else and then moving it back. You can answer that question just as easily as anyone else can.

I answered a recent question of yours on another thread (about tattoo naming) and didn't get much more than sarcasm back. What's the deal, hoss?

Guess I'll stick to helping newbies...

*still waits for a simple thank you from Mythology*

Anubis March 26 2005 4:10 PM EST

Please no more war :)

QBsutekh137 March 26 2005 4:17 PM EST

Ax3 wins. Sorry, Myth. No more whining from me.

QBRanger March 26 2005 4:41 PM EST

Myth,

Time to be called out.

Where in my response did I NOT know the answer?

You asked 3 questions. If you would have checked the changelogs the answers were in that thread Jon created. But Knight and myself answered the questions simply and easy. But you had to go start something.

Why did you say the following: "In other words, 'No', everyone just fighting along blind and confused... :p "
Nowhere did Knight and I ever say we did not know the answers. In fact we gave you the correct answers to your questions (2 out of 3).

What do you get out of creating problems? Is it a thing for you?
Chet also answered your question and you jump all over him.

Whats your problem? Why are you so nasty when people are trying to help you? Consider therapy?

IMO you need to apologize to Knight, myself and most of all Chet.

Mythology March 26 2005 4:53 PM EST

Im only sorry that you read it the way you did, nothing else...

Oh whatever, I dont know, you people,

Chet I am sorry I tried to solve the problem with light humour, next time I shall cm you with a personalised apology.

ranger I am sorry you get over excited and think im insulting you, I will also take your advice and get some help "help doctor I cant help being sarcastic in posts on the internet, have you got some pills for me?"

NK, Ive known you for about a year on and off and knowing how active you are, I doubt you will read this :p but sorry anyway.

I really wish Mushu was here...

AdminJonathan March 26 2005 5:00 PM EST

You have a strange idea of light humor.

QBRanger March 26 2005 5:03 PM EST

Myth,

Knowing when to be sarcastic and knowing when to just say thanks is a sign of maturity.

Just saying -thanks for the help- will do wonders.

QBsutekh137 March 26 2005 5:07 PM EST

Myth, it's no big deal, and I will admit to being sensitive to being told I am "whining" (not because of you, because of others who have told me that is what I am doing when I am simply being myself).

I try to give all I can to this game, especially along the lines of "if you don't have anything nice to say..." I put a lot of time into researching and writing well thought-out analyses of things. I even answer questions when I should just say "ready the FAQ, n00b!" I know ranger is also extremely helpful, because I am one of the n00bs he has helped a great deal. *smile* I know it is kind of a thankless task, and folks don't always get the thanks they deserve, but I am still sensitive to it. Yeah, big, sensitive girly-man -- that's me. *grin*

Maybe it is just bad timing on both sides, but the last couple of questions you have asked have seemed like...you don't really want an answer? Yeah, I am way over-assuming there. But that's why I asked what your question was on the tattoo artist thread, because I assumed everyone had heard about Gnu switching his Fighting Illini over to a ToE.

For the record, I wish Mushu were here too. *smile*

- You're not wrong.

Okay, thank you for the help.

Duke March 26 2005 7:09 PM EST

did get some good laugh reading this treads.

Lumpy Koala March 26 2005 7:24 PM EST

hehe..myth, actually I want to know answer to question 3 too :P So I read

In conclusion, CB has turned into such a well mannered community haha No more strange light humor from you, myth :P

QBsutekh137 March 26 2005 7:38 PM EST

Not sure, NK, but I think you just accused me of being well-mannered?

HOW DARE YOU!

*grin*

AdminShade March 26 2005 10:27 PM EST

1) Is BA regen worked out with MPR or PR?

of course with mpr, otherwise you could scam the system by not equiping the tattoo (well yeah and face 1.5% loss of experience on tattoo) but having a lot less price for BA

2) If I have a level 70,000 tattoo will it ad the same amount of PR to a 100K PR character as to a 50 pr character?

Tattoos of the same level and same type (lesser or normal) add the same amount of PR to the character

3) What is the rate of PR increase to level? Like 70%?

would be the same if you have a tattoo equipped that is 70% in level of your pr.

Khardin March 27 2005 1:18 AM EST

PR increase to level:

Item Meta-stats (which is cached [?]) and Inspect <character> used for calculations:

level 258620 ToJ
PR 361152
Minion PR 267141
Difference of 94011 PR
258620 / 94011 = ~2.75 levels per PR point added

level 128170 ToJ
PR 188323
Minion PR 137375
Difference of 50948 PR
128170 / 50948 = ~2..75 levels per PR point added

your mileage may vary.
enjoy.

Khardin March 27 2005 1:26 AM EST

correction before i am corrected:

2nd example was a ToF
and ratio was ~2.52

I had checked 2 ToJs and 2 ToFs..
the 'ballpark' seemed to be 2 to 2.75.
alternatively this means about 35% of the level is PR.
