as you can see the NW's of both items arent much apart from eachother
katana is only 150K more expensive

As Jon stated the upgrade costs of a VB is between that of a Katana and Exec.

Guess this proves he was telling the truth.

Would be nice to compare it now to a x50 +30 exec

...and with that confirmation added to the fact that the VB has a higher base damage and eats through AC/Endurance/Protection better, I hereby declare the Katana semi-worthless! *smile*

anyone have a close Exec I could perhaps forge it to x50 +30 for a small fee :)

an idea: we could all pitch in to BS an Exec to x50 +30 wouldn't cost much if a good bit of us helps. then we could have a raffle or contest for it. or give it to a newb

Yes, I think this marks the death of Katana as a "rare" item. I figure Two handed flails will be forgotten and katanas left in stores when a camper runs across one =P

Remember VB isn't a store spawn blade. So theoratically 1 year from now, newb has better chance with a kat than a VB.
