He went to the riverboat and bet the bank, lost and sold a kidney.
I'm hoping he just puts out 10 MHs, 10 BThs and 10 Elbows to balance out the economy.
Is that from all the payouts for CoBFs disappearing? It's OK, from the looks of the blacksmith, loads of money are leaving the economy at a record pace.
yesterday was just under 200 mil.
Agree with Almuric... Blacksmith is the biggest money making business on CB. it would be nice to see how much money the blacksmith makes (sucks out of the economy).

He's Jon remember? Small code rewrite and BAM, it's even.
I'm not so sure. Jon seems to make a point about not creating money or items. I suspect that he'll just leave the Bank negative until fines/resets bring it back up to positive again.

Sukotto, you mean to tell me I have to bring Central Bank from -198,408,277 to black through fines?! :P
I'll start right away...

fines are fine with me, fine :) :P
Max: when you reset/ban someone, I thought their money and items went there.
Hmm... I believe that stuff held by Central Bank get deleted after X number of hours (days?). Perhaps negative money also get deleted the same as positive money? T'would be interesting to know.

Well, I plan to offer my suggestion on how to overcome our community debt. *snicker snicker*
We should impose a sales tax to curb our deficit.
Bahahaha!
already is a sales tax...store doesnt give u nearly as much as u should get for an item, it cost you 1ba just to check it. auctions cost money to host, and posting if the fs/wtb threads costs 5k...
if thats not taxes, i dont know what is...
oh, and ur income tax would be ur healing costs :P

Referrals create money out of nothing too, don't they?
Yes, but that's not what I meant. Fighting and Referrals (and the player bank, when we had it) bring money into the game. Until today, I thought that was the *only* way $CB entered the game.
I've been curious what happens when he kills an item and reimburses the former owners. I wondered if he created that money, if he waited until he had enough saved up, or if he created the money.
So I guess he does create money when he has to. Now I wonder what will happen to that negative balance.
Will it remain (and possible slowly return to 0 as players get fined/reset/banned? .. Leading to a zero sum.
OR will it magically disappear .. leading to artificial $CB generation.
So long as it doesn't happen regularly (and I don't see that happening) it's only of academic interest. If it *were* to happen regularly, it would debase $CB (slightly) since that money wasn't earned.
*shrug*
Referrals and Central Bank are primarily funded by transfer fees.
But I have noticed Central Bank is holding onto 5 Elbows and 4 ELS s. ;)
Are they for the formation of a 4T team, selling for a profit to bump up Central Banks cash, possibly some sort of change coming to these items in this change month, or up for deletion to keep numbers sparse?
;)

Jon, you could always just try and sell some of CB1's Central Bank money...at the current exchange rate (7:1) You'd get ~40 Mil from that...ofcourse just from when this was posted to now the central bank has earned ~16mil...so I think it'll be just fine. (get it fine...I crack myself up)

those ELSs and ELBs certainly didn't come from the store. ELS hasn't spawn in the store for weeks. I can see ELB and ELS nerf coming. Maybe?

And I thought that 200mill would be enough, guess when it comes to paying a ton of people you become in heavy debt.
