EXBow draining message not working? (in General)

I've just fought Shade (who has the largets EXBow in the game) and noticed that although I ended up with negative Strength on both charcaters, the "X looks weaker" message never appeared.

It's also interesting to note that both minions (Tal's Familiar has 100 Strength, Tal 20) were hit twice and had the same amount drained (the new property of E/AXBows coming in to play here). Could this be the problem? As the percentage drain didn't go off, the message didn't trigger although stats were reduced?

The only thing I can think of is if you read mine and Jonathan's replies to this thread (near the top). :)

Cool, I can understand that for a stat at 20 (well, maybe zero... stats can be reduced to 19, 18 etc) but my first minion lost 80 strength from the first EXBow hit.

Was that reduction too little to trigger the display?

I think it only displays clumsier or weaker if there is a chance that they can lose more DX/ST next round...
...so if their DX/ST is lower than 20 then it doesn't bother?

Don't worry though, the message does work, regularly when I go against tanks with high DX/ST :D

btw. you fought Ilúvatar which has the strongest Exbow :P

Why does Brocks first hit activate the message? If it only displays because there is more strength to lose, it activated for the first hit on Tal, which had to take him below zero, otherwist the second hit did over -14,000...

It happened with Tal as well, but I erased too much of my post, and can't got pack to the fight to copy it again! >_

To explain the instance of you kicking my -- erm, Brock's -- butt, your character doesn't exactly specialize in strength. I wipe the strength of your familiar character in the first round, and Talhearn's strength in the second. Because one shot's enough to drain either, but an entire round-set of physical hits has to land on a single target, the first shot in each salvo drains strength.

But, in the original fight, Illuvatars EXBow (which is larger than brocks) didn't activate the message on the first hit, in either round, to either character, when yours did.

If it was because the strength on either character was too small (100 and 20) then yours shouldn't have activated either.

I'd just say something freakish happened in the first fight.

And his Exbow isn't "bigger" than mine. It's just more enchanted. ;D

its not the size that matters. ... its how you use it : p
