Need help - Evasion Graph (in General)

Carnt Spall May 27 2005 3:00 AM EDT

I'm curious as to how much of an effect Evasion gives at various levels, I note there is an Evasion graph in Community but it may be a little outdated.

I am working on a new graph for Evasion. The current graph can be found here.

What I need:
1)Improvements on my current data points so I can get a more accurate model - I want the lowest level that gives a certain Evasion effect, so if you find an Evasion level lower than what I have on my graph that gives the same Evasion effect, post it.
2)Further data points - my graph only goes up to an Evasion effect of 11 currently, so if you have Evasion trained higher than that please post its effect and level.

Thanks

I've updated the graph with some larger Evasions and have also added a calculator to calculate total Evasion when using the Evasion skill with DB's.
Unfortunately this model probably isn't accurate for large Evasions still - Jonathan said in his changelog that an Evasion of 30 and +30 DB's would give a total effect of 39 whereas mine gives 42 =\

Evasion: 101,381 (41) ;)
Haven't trained it for a while, and jumped it all at once, but will add the next jump if and when i get around to it.

Updated graph again, I now have the exact change points for Evasion effects 1 through 10 along with a couple of other points, Evasion calculator should be accurate enough to predict Evasion effects up to 100 (I hope), It will take about a 750k Evasion to achieve this.

Another big jump, but what the hey.....

Is there anyway you can take a screen shot of the graph and post it as an image? I don't have excel. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

You could try downloading an Excel Viewer. I don't think you'll be able to use the calculators with them though.

MudBug The Redeemer June 10 2005 12:46 AM EDT

Evasion: 166,831 (51)

calc seems off after (50)

Carnt Spall June 10 2005 1:49 AM EDT

Hmmm 166,831 is giving me an effect of 51, what is it giving you?

MudBug The Redeemer June 10 2005 2:43 AM EDT

NM just me being stupid. Good job on the calc and I'll add as i go.

MudBug The Redeemer June 11 2005 2:58 AM EDT

Evasion: 174,032 (52)

according to the calc I should have had this at 170k?

QBRanger June 11 2005 6:43 AM EDT

Now wouldn't it be so much better to have that 170k or so levels and put it into your dex and have over a 370k dex instead of just 50 evasion?

Just think, with a super high dex you would get hit so much less, hit for doubles so much more and can get a set of DB's to duplicate all that xp you spending in a worthless skill.

Just my opinion.

QBRanger June 11 2005 7:17 AM EDT

Or better yet, put that 170k into hp. While evasion will not help you live through magic attacks, more hp certainly will.

Or Archery so you can kill quicker in missile.

Or Bloodlust so you can kill quicker in melee.

Or UC so you can kill without having to spend cb2 for NW of weapons.

Anything but 170k levels in evasion.
