Riddle Contest(1) (in Contests)

Heres a Riddle, and whoever gets ir first wins 10k.

There is a tree and on a branch were 10 birds. A hunter came by a shot one of the birds down. How many were left?

None, the other 9 flew away.

none, the gunshot scared the others away.

How in the hell did you come up with 10?

You can't know that, "were" being past-tense can refer to any period of time while the birds were on there they didn't have to all be on at the same time.

Ranger wins, send to where?

The obvious answer would be nine, but since it is a riddle, i am assuming it is not nine. So my guess is that we 10 since you never said did not say the hunter shot the birds on the tree.


/me is a purely logical guy, i don't expect to win.

Haha…I think there can be a lot of possibility for this question, For example:

1) After the shot, one bird got killed by the hunter and fall off the branch ,but only 8 fly away:
Because the last bird heard the gun fire and got a heart attack, then dead on the branch. Assume the branch is big enough that the bird didn’t fall off =).

2a) Or 9 left, because other 9 bird are fake birds and got put on the branch people.
2b) Or 8 left, one bird die, one bird fly away, and rest are birds are fake.
2c) …

3) Still 9 left, because the hunter use a MP5 with a silencer…lol

People we need to think outside the box ^_^` Just mess with you guys.
