New Link and Stuff (in Changelog)

Also new background changes to fix some xmlhttp problems some people had.

Very cool. I like it. Just curious though, why isn't this in Change Log?

Small issue, gents: If I run out of BA, I get the "no more BA" page, which tells me to click Manage Characters (link) to purchase more. If I click the link, the "buy BA" bit is now missing from that page.

Either the "buy BA" bit needs to appear (also) on the Manage Characters page (my preference), or the message & link need to change on the "no more BA" page.

Cool change, but i hate it on the right side. Maybe we could move it a tad to the left to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

But then again this isn't pretty blender. (Excepion being gun and kitty)

Actually, I like it on the manage characters page, since you can see how much money you have left... can we keep it there?

yea i agree with mael, an option to leave it under "manage characters" would be cooler ;p though kudos on direct link in tools :p

yea.. the link on the sidebar is cool, i like it alot, but i think there should still be the possibility to purchase ba on the manage character page as well. Why not have both?

I'd also like to have the ability to visit both places to buy my BA...

The only reason you want the extra click for getting BA is because you are accustomed to it. Give it a couple weeks and you'll get used to it. :) Trust me. I've had this greasemonkey script that did exactly what that get more BA link did on my browser for a while, and it was a bit of a habit to break, but eventually I grew to like it much more.

I like the change.

Given that "you're on a roll" it may be a nice wee touch to show: MPR, PR and EXP to train alongside the Score* Cash* Ammo* on the Manage characters page. You have the space now :)

Don't know if the EXP to train is possible - in truth it's the only one I'm really interested in as the others would be purely cosmetic.

I would still like a link to my users page in the left hand frame. I know I can click " 'settings' ----> 'You can see exactly what other users are shown about you here'" but I'm lazy like that lol.

it could, but it's not worth the extra round trip since it's so inexpensive to compute on load

No, it's because I like to see how much spare cash I have before I buy my BA. In the pop-up window, why not add in "You currently have X $cb2"?

Because you can click home, look in the top right hand corner, and see where it says, "cash"?

Talking about useful links, i would love to see a link directly to "my account" page.. I think it would be nice to have a link to that page over/under manage characters.
I like the "get more BA" link, but i support the "you now have X$" addition. Thx!

Oh.. and why not elaborate on the Recent battles part..
Instead of the discussion of whether the "Mine" link should point to the old style list or the new Summary , maybe you could just change the Recent battles tool to: Mine/All/Summary ??

How about a direct link to Pizza Hut on the side bar too? ;)

Because if your using BA your most likely fighting, and when you are fighting you can see your cash. :P

Unless you are forging, in which case you have to click the home link.

Yeah, you're right, if I'm not at the home page, I'd be at the page of the most recent battle, where I would see how much cash I have.

And complaining aside, I like the new link ;)

Whee little problem again with the treo.

When I click the new link it says you may purchase an undefined amount of BA at and undefined price (or something close to that).

Then When I enter an amount it just goes back to that pop up.

Would it be a huge problem to add the BA buying back to the manage characters page for those of us that have a problem with the new linkage?

the "out of ba" page still links to "manage characters" for ba purchasing.

YNM, it would be nice enough to stay at your current page when you buy ba, but instead it now always moves you to your home screen...

just noticed the "out of ba" thing was brought up before in other posts. sorry for being repetitive.

it was aimed at the coding, the Ba buying link always sends you to the home screen where ever you were before clicking.

so: it would be nice to be able to stay where you are in the game when buying ba :)

How's about giving us the option to "merge with equipped" ammo. It's always bugged me having to unequip my dross to merge it with my new purchases, before equipping it again.

Another nice thing i saw: we stay on our page when buying ba, instead of returning to the home screen :)
