Is there an alternate IP that we can use to access CB2? ie, if a firewall blocks carnageblender.com.

or try www.carnageblender.com

or try cb2.carnageblender.com ?

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Note: Neither www.car... or cb2.car.... work because the entire domain is blocked, not just subdomains.

No dice. The ip is blocked. Is there another IP?

Public Web-based circumvention service

There is publicly available web-based circumvention software as well as services. Most provide free service while some have more options, such as encrypted access, available with a paid subscription. Some are operated by companies, others by volunteers as a public service. A few examples :

http://www.anonymizer.com
http://www.unipeak.com
http://www.anonymouse.ws
http://www.proxyweb.net
http://www.guardster.com
http://www.webwarper.net
http://www.proxify.com
http://www.the-cloak.com

Since the web addresses of these services are widely known, most Internet filtering applications already have these services on their block lists as do many countries that filter at national level. If the web addresses of these services are blocked they cannot be used. Also, many public web-based circumventors do not encrypt the traffic between the circumventor and the end-user. Any information transmitted by the user can be intercepted by the operator of the circumvention service.

Public Web-based circumvention services are best suited for users in low security risk environments who are without trusted contacts in non-filtered locations and have temporary or ad-hoc circumvention needs and who do not need to transmit sensitive information.

Try some of those NightStrike :) I have no idea if they will work for you, but the basic idea is, go to their web site if you can, then they will go to carnageblender for you :)

Yes Mrwuss your comment is perhaps true, but then again, this is the net after all and there are always ways around everything :)

If they are using webscence, like Radioshack, I wish you the best of luck finding a working proxy.

Also, I do not know if this is true, but if CB blocks proxies none of those will work anyway. There are other ways though so, give those a try, if they don't work send me some CM I'll mention a few other methods for getting around the stuff I put in place so my users cannot go in the net where they do not belong :)
