Welcome CB1 Players! (in General)

AdminQBVerifex December 29 2005 2:04 AM EST

Welcome to you all, I hope you will stay around. CB2 is basically CB1 with a facelift and new features. Don't be scared, see its not so bad.

There are many great reasons to stick around here. For one, CB2 is still being developed. New features and options are still being added. I haven't seen too many suggestion threads recently. I still enjoy this game alot, and yes I lost a large char on CB1 too, even though I wasn't playing it much. I did find it rather un-wise that people were still spending vast amount of effort improving their chars to godly levels on there without a second thought about the questionable future for CB1.

Carnage Blender is still here, don't fret people. It is better then ever. If you want something to do, suggest some improvements to CB, things that can make it a better game. It is unwise to focus all your energy trying to bring a dead horse back to life.

thanks, I've been thinking about starting a new suggestion thread, and you did it for me!

Suggestion #1 - Make my Char (1/4 HP 3/4 FB single mage) suck even more. Nerf it back to the stone age. No I'm serious, I WANT JON TO NERF my char, even if it's just my char that gets nerfed.

Fix the TSA and MgS, fixed percentile reductions, no matter how restrictive don't seem sensible. Did the supporter item template change? Are supporter items now supposed to be things you can't live without?

Maybe FB needs to have a misfire in ranged as well...with yourself being a plausable target.

Low mages WERE nerfed recently, at the higher end AMF will destroy mages.

Ah, Verifex you took a lot of words out of my mouth. No offense to any of the players who are mourning CB1 but one of the things I hear you saying is that the community in CB2 isn't as good as it was in CB1. You were that community and you're part of the community here. So if there is a problem here you're part of it.

I know that some of the things some of you don't like here can't be changed but if you pour as much energy into CB2 as you did into Cb1 you could make a difference here. Jon may have finally closed CB1 but surely he deserves your continuing support?

And if you don't like Tattoos, Runes or Familiars just fight without them, which would make your PR a lot less, and have you still able to compete

QBRanger December 29 2005 6:36 AM EST

Novice,

To play devil's advocate (and most of you know how much I hate lawyers):

Score / PR / MPR: 925,771 / 541,940 / 515,701

That's your stat line using a ROE and a NW of less than 1 million.

Not too shabby for a single FB mage without a tattoo.

I take it back!!!
I really did want a mage nerf, just not as much as I thought...

draws are killing me now, my rewards are way down (almost cut in half)

AdminJonathan December 30 2005 9:14 PM EST

That's a pretty good summary, Verifex.

Maelstrom December 30 2005 9:26 PM EST

Very nice table, Verifex! Let's add that to the Wiki.

Hey... it's just about time for another QB, isn't it? ;)

Indeed welcome to CB2 my fellow CB1 players. I'm sure the scariest part might indeed be getting use to all these new players all over again. To a good number of you I might be just a stranger, but I am sure it would only take a matter of time until myself and others become familiar faces to you.

You may have pretended to not like it, but those of you who stuck with CB1 enjoyed a multi-player game that held no new surprises (due to lack of support and updates) and was comprised of the same members for almost a year. Change might be the hardest thing for you to deal with here. Sure Verifex has drawn up a nice table, but it's the constant change that makes this a different game.

For now just relax, sit back, and try to enjoy the company as we both learn about each other.

[MG]Mecca-Devilbot [Clan of One] December 31 2005 12:08 AM EST

Think of this also..

CB1 players complaining about the "community" were part of it. if they want to have the same community. work towards it..

(and shade, I'm planning to remake my char.. just.. money.. precious gold is slim in the beginning.. [even if I'm not really 'beginning'])

someone[onabreak] December 31 2005 10:05 PM EST

I miss cb1 :(
