Magic MPB (in General)

Hey all,

Why don't they include magical attacks in MPB? I mean, a magic spell can certainly be considered a blow or a strike. There should at least be two categories, physical and magical, kinda stupid to just show physical attacks. Makes Mage teams look alot weaker (which I guess isn't necessarily a bad thing), anyways just my thoughts. =)

A: This does not make sense, for several reasons.
First of all, the effect of the spell Decay mainly depends on the HP of your opponent, not on your own character.
Even when discounting Decay, DD spells are directly proportional to the level they're trained in so it would be a pretty boring stat. Just go look at whoever has the highest CoC and award him the prize.

Ok, but isnt physical damage pretty much a measure of stats too? Aside from the NW of your weapon, its a measure of ST. Discount Decay for obvious reasons, and I thought FB did more damage than CoC?

The whole point of the MPB is to show who does the highest damage through a combination of several stats. We can easily ascertain that total for a mage by simply looking at one stat.

And CoC has always done more damage than FB, although FB's appeal is in the fact that it fires in every round.

Dreky, the highest MPB for any of the DD spells discounting Decay would just be the spell level as that is it's max but with physical damage there are way more factors, STR difference, damage multiplier, armor, ammo which makes it impossible for us to work out just looking at a single stat which if you took a CoC and used it against a 1pr character then you would just do the number inside the brackets making the Magic MPB stat pretty useless.

reason: take the biggest HP minion and put a nice Decay against it. bravo MPB...
