The same can be transferred to real life also, it's called evolution and technological revolutions.

there are many things which make us all even lazier than we need to be, such as TV remotes and the computer you are sat at to play games and research information, I once knew of outdoor games, board games and a library which we no longer need.
Grow with the evolving world or become a whining old fossil in your ancient world :D
