remember when ... (in Off-topic)

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 30 2006 12:50 PM EST

there was a reason to own a Katana...

(keep it going folks)

there was a reason to visit the store...

(these are just examples)

the forge dwarf ate a monkey...

(ok so I made the last one up)

there was a market for rares...

(ok so that one was bitter)

we used to have to type the name of our own chars to xfer money!

Zoglog[T] [big bucks] January 30 2006 12:55 PM EST

The same can be transferred to real life also, it's called evolution and technological revolutions.
there was a reason to visit the store.....
like there is in the real world with internet shopping around?
there are many things which make us all even lazier than we need to be, such as TV remotes and the computer you are sat at to play games and research information, I once knew of outdoor games, board games and a library which we no longer need.
Grow with the evolving world or become a whining old fossil in your ancient world :D

[Jedi] Danludar January 30 2006 1:05 PM EST

Ah the good old days when i once spent about 200k on a katana which i could now get for 50k lol oh well it's good to see some of these changes.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] January 30 2006 1:12 PM EST

...strangers said hello to each other (even in California)...

...the means may not have been quite so justified, but at least we could see an end...

Vaynard [Fees Dirt Cheap] January 30 2006 4:22 PM EST

...Remember when you could bid on an item in auctions and not have a bot auction snipe it from you?

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] January 30 2006 5:50 PM EST

...when CB2 : USD = ~100k : $10

jayuu January 30 2006 8:22 PM EST

sssimmo January 30 2006 8:58 PM EST

.....when Monty, that little child, fooled a lot of people and ripped everyone off.

Sorry...but someone had to mention it....

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] January 30 2006 9:39 PM EST

...when compound bows were "rare", mostly in cb1...

sssimmo January 30 2006 9:50 PM EST

Maelstrom January 30 2006 9:51 PM EST

...when sssimmo had his full, unabbreviated name ;)

Stephen January 30 2006 10:52 PM EST

[Jedi] Danludar January 31 2006 5:03 PM EST

RAMPAGE January 31 2006 5:43 PM EST was possible to take a single tank to over 3 million PR

sssimmo January 31 2006 6:14 PM EST could fight in wacky money times and get up to $4000 per battle.

{CB1}Lukeyman January 31 2006 9:32 PM EST

Stephen January 31 2006 9:36 PM EST

...We had inexhaustible arrows...
...And you could merge them into bundles of 16...
...And someone paid millions for a bundle the week before they were removed from the game...

[T]Vestax January 31 2006 11:10 PM EST

..."Corn in the Store!" was the best gag in chat.

PirateKing January 31 2006 11:14 PM EST

..."Corn in the Store!" was the best gag in chat.

Which had its roots in the "Loch in the store!" gag back in the primordial ooze of pre-BA CB1. :P

{CB1ate}aupStar January 31 2006 11:48 PM EST
