Help me calculate weapon PR (in General)

roy7February 15 2006 12:13 PM EST

If you'd like to help out, please make a new character and equip a weapon. Let me know the NW of the weapon, and what your PR was.

If you want to make multiple minions and equip multiple weapons, that is fine too. If you do this, please let me know the individual weapon NWs and the PR, not just the total NW. I don't need to know what the weapons actually are.

I believe total weapon PR is just the sum of the NWs, but I'm not sure yet, so I'd like the breakdown to confirm that, plus try to get an accurate formula together on how to approximate weapon PR from the weapon's NW.

Please be sure to leave off armor, tats, ammo, whatever else. Weapons only please.

Finally, if you can't make a new character, you still could help by taking off all of your items, equiping a weapon that has a high enough NW to raise your PR above your MPR, and letting me know what your weapon's NW, PR, and MPR are.

This will help nail down the "weapon allowance" system which I believe is tied to weapon PR and MPR, and with enough data we can figure out a weapon PR value from weapon NW. Then you can know the biggest weapon to buy/rent that fits your allowance.

Soft Target PR: 1 / MPR: 1, Exe NW: 602,195.

When equipped;

Soft Target PR: 17,927 / MPR: 1

I hope this helps!

Little more, still with 1 MPR Charcater;

Rapier NW: 6,075 - PR when equipped: 456
Whip NW: 26 - PR when equipped: 1

Well, a MPR of 1 gives at least a weapon allowance of 26. :)

With a 1 MPR character:

PR / MPR: 1,215,209 / 1

when equipped with:

The Sword of Ashes [84x130] (+150) worth \$115,623,383

O, everyone congratulate me for getting a 1 million PR character!!

GentlemanLoser you are quite wrong:

Base item NW isn't taken into the weapon PR calculations.

so you would need to have at least a whip x2 or +1 to see any changes :)

That's also why it's important to mention what weapon was used, and as things are not linear: please test with just 1 item at a time.

Yes, one weapon at a time is great, but if you have multiple weapons you can test wth too, that's fine. Just please please please let us know if it's 1 weapon or not. If not, break down the amounts per-weapon.

It might be the sum of all weapons. Or it might be the average or median of the weapons. Or it might be some sort of weighted something or other. Or it might be the PRs of the weapons added up, meaning two 1Ms aren't the same combined PR as one 2M.

But we can discover all of this with good data. :) I'll tabulate and report back once we get a nice little stack if info going. From my original weapon allocation post, I had:

\$90566 Scythe = 3843 PR / 1 MPR
\$207380 Katana = 7488 PR / 1 MPR
\$614282 Katana = 18218 PR / 1 MPR

Thanks to some items I rented.

I know that base NW isn't used in calculations (or so we assume), but that amount is so small vs the values of the upgraded weapons I'm not going to worry about it.

To be clear, I'd love this:

If you have multiple \$1M NW weapons, make a new character. Equip the weapons one at a time, individually. Let us know the PR for each. Equip all weapons at same time and let us know the PR now.

Stats of the three weapons used.

Exe x25 +20
Rapier x3 +9
Whip (base) x1 +0
