Strat help (in General)

Yeah, that's right, I need help ;)

At the moment I don't really know what to do with my minion Pitr. He already has a high VA, no need to put any more XP into that for now I believe. So what else to do with him?
- I could learn an Offensive Enchantment on him. But which one? AMF is already at 1M on Stef, I do not plan to change to a RoS, so DM is not a good plan and who uses EC?
- I could turn him into a tank. Not a bright idea, as I'm already chronically low on cash.
- I could turn him into a wall/enchanter, by training HP on him. Don't really like the idea of it, as part of my strategy is to do with as few HP as possible ;)
- I could turn him into a mage, most likely Cone of Cold. Teaching him how to dodge AMF will take ages.
- Decay?

Lots of options, but none really do appeal to me. What to do with all that XP?

Evasion all the way

QBRanger March 15 2006 2:48 PM EST

How much xp do you have on him right now?

bartjan March 15 2006 2:50 PM EST

120k

With a 1mil AMF a small DM of around 10k will not be hurting you and will help take out those base protections and also lower GA somewhat depending on its size of course.

YOU March 15 2006 3:09 PM EST

at your level it's too late to start a mage. Sure Decay would only help against DM team. But then again i am sure you are already beating them. If EC a bad choice then Evasion is your only friend, especially in the long run.

YOU March 15 2006 3:10 PM EST

10k DM is a good idea however, that can be done on the main tank.

QBBarzooMonkey March 15 2006 3:15 PM EST

UC, the poor man's tank :)

AdminShade March 15 2006 3:29 PM EST

10k DM isn't a good idea, because a base protection doesn't protect much at all :p

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] March 15 2006 4:10 PM EST

13k into protection is currently the difference between a draw and win against Susan for me now (hopes IA isn't watching), so a 10k DM can do a lot.

I still don't understand what you have against EC...

bartjan March 15 2006 4:18 PM EST

At the moment I'm considering re-inking my JFK into a RoS. If I do that, this problem is easily solved by going DM all the way.

Too bad I can't go back once inked ...

BootyGod March 15 2006 4:19 PM EST

Well I know most players think EC is a weak option but it should not be dismissed. A EC would really help both the JKF and the tank by lowering their ST and DX therefore keepingt them both alive longer. But if you really are against the option of EC then go Evasion, though I believe EC would get the same thing done better.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] March 15 2006 4:22 PM EST

Bart, unless you feel like spending the cash to hire another minion, don't re-ink, I'll beat you pants off you without the extra minion.

Flamey March 15 2006 4:26 PM EST

i think EC is pretty good, someone on my list has EC, i start with about 55k ST and DX at the the end i have about 4k, and my other minions have -40 000 or thereabouts.

just thought you would like to know, the only reason i win is because my mage does damage.

QBRanger March 15 2006 4:38 PM EST

Novice,

If Bart inks his TOJ to a ROS he will likely do much better vs you. Imagine 500k more to his AS giving more hp to all his minions letting them live longer vs your FB, dispersing the damage for all those rounds.

Now imagine a 100k DM dispelling your protection as well.

Sacredpeanut March 15 2006 6:00 PM EST

Your other option would be to train AMF on Pitr and not learn anymore AMF on Stef, leaving Stef to pump AS exclusively.

bartjan March 15 2006 6:01 PM EST

Stef already is pumping only AS (for the time being).
