In the above auction, CB bid on a blackmarket item. Now, the blackmarket is one area where CB should just plain not be allowed. What is the reasoning behind it? Blackmarket auctions are special cases, and I highly doubt that Mr. Chairman cast his vote for AG's.

I'm not sure if I've been around long enough to have an opinion, but even if i haven't here goes:

I LIKE the job Central Bank does, it insures that the DB i pay 2.6m for today, aren't going to sell for 800k tomorow. But CB bidding on Black Market... that's another story... I agree with NS on that.

CB deemed the going price too low, and thus the item not 'needed' to be put into the game?

But even imo you are right, Mr. Chairman doesn't vote so shouldn't be bidding :)

I agree. After all, this is a black market. In my opinion, the black market should be outside the reach of the Central Bank.

If CB is to bid on BM auctions then maybe the better option to make it fair would be that it has an automatic vote each week that goes on the item with the least amount of percentage left? Then only bid on items it has voted for, like we have to.

I agree that it shouldn't be bidding on them at all but this was only an idea to make it fairer if it must bid on items.

Mr Chairman shouldn't be bidding on bm items. Its not fair :)

Wasp November 13 2006 10:46 AM EST

Aye. Chairman didn't make a vote...

Arorrr November 13 2006 10:49 PM EST

LOL,

If we can vote out Mr Chairman like a real democratic system. Oh well, this is Jonocrastic system so probably not going to happen.

Burn the power!

Karmic Mishap [Soup Ream] November 13 2006 11:50 PM EST

Why doesn't Jon just set it up so that whenever an item is one vote away from spawning, CB takes that vote, if it still has one for the week?

Miandrital November 13 2006 11:57 PM EST

It is a Blackmarket for a reason, so that cb can't interfere with the community's choice. It shouldn't be given a vote or auction privileges!

QBOddBird November 14 2006 11:19 PM EST

Agreed.

I understand CB's purposes when bidding in auctions, and support it, but not in Blackmarket Auctions.

Any chance that could possibly be changed, Mr. Jon? 0=)

With the Chairman raising prices to a certain amount, wouldn't it be the same as have the item spawn into the store at a cost of say, what the chairman thinks they are worth?
