The Fiesta Bowl had Boise State vs Oklahoma.

Boise State being the very big underdog from a lesser conference.

Boise State tied the game on a classic football play that almost never works-The hook and lateral. Only once successfully used in a college/professional game. Miami Dolphins vs San Diego Chargers at the end of the first half.

In Overtime, Boise State used 2 trick plays to win the game.

The first was a wide receiver throwing the ball to a tight end on 4th down.

The other was another classic play people talk about but it almost never works. The Statue of Liberty play where the Quarterback pretends to throw the ball and the running back takes the ball out of his back hand. To use such a combination of plays to beat one of the top 5 teams in the nation was an amazing underdog story.

Remember Oklahoma was one very bad officials call from likely playing Ohio State for the championship. They had 2 losses, one from a poor call and with 1 loss possibly would have been number 2 in the BCS.

PopsicleMan is right about OU's bad calls on one game. It cost them the game and the Official that made the call got suspended not to mention a shot as OSU. With that aside, the Fiesta Bowl was a pretty good game all the way around, and Adrian Peterson looks NFL ready, the only thing that sucks is he could end up a Raider.... bah... I felt sorry for anyone that had to play BSU, they aren't in a widely respected Conference and they over the last few years have upset some big name schools. I didn't view them as a Cinderella.

Well if the Raiders were smart they would take a QB with the first pick, but then again with Al Davis running the show, who knows.

And Boise State beat Oregon State easily (like 41-14) who in turn beat USC who crushed the team most thought was the 2nd best in the nation.
