sucks, eh? (in General)

I was just kicked from chat by RAMPAGE for using the word 'sucks'... Yet I see it in forums all the time. I'm not trying to scream "Abuse of power!!!", as i see interpretations are subject to the one making them. Furthermore, its just a kick, wow, 30 seconds. But some clarification would be great.

For the record, the usage of the word was:
<The_Hatchetman> TV Dinner Salisbury Steak sucks!

Maybe he really likes TV Dinner Salisbury Steak?

Instead of making a post like this, it would be best to CM a senior admin like Bart or Beee to handle these situations.

Remember chat ops are people also.

Posts like this do nothing but start problems.

Or, ask RAMPAGE himself why he did that. Usually this solves problems also...

wasn't saying that getting kicked was a problem, just asking for clarification as to whether using such a word in chat is acceptable...

All words are subject to interpretation by OPs. They have been given the power to maintain chat. They are trusted in there decision whether to kick or not.

Theoretically, you can be kicked for anything. Even for saying common words like "the" or "the"( pronounced like Th-a).

Its not that they are overpowered just that they are trusted to use there "powers" responsibly. :-)

I really do agree with Mael...it really does relate to the word "sucks", not it's meaning though, but I think he LOVES TV Dinner Salisbury Steak A LOT !!!
