Should a QB tag be for life? (in General)

Or should it be for a pre-determined period of time only, e.g. 12 months?

I'm not suggesting any of the people who currently have the tag don't deserve it - on the contrary. However, we've got many users with the tag now. In another x quarters from now will the tag be undervalued?

Just wondering.

QB: It's for life not just for Christmas.

For life. Our QBs should be remembered, even after they decide that they've played for too long. ^.^

Yeah agreed. Soon it will be wrong if you didn't have the QB tag. How about it gets on your name for 12 months and then you get the "Hall of Quarter Blenders" Where names go down in the record forever. That way they are highlighted as current QB's and remembered for ever : )

I've spoken to many of the QB's since I've started here. I don't know what they did to receive it (tho i can guess...), but they do everything to keep it, without even a care about their QB status. I say, they deserve every bit of credit and more, always...

It's only a name and only what you and them make it out to be. To answer your Q. For life. I don't want the same people fighting for it every year, giving someone else who whom is not as popular a chance to be a QB.

If it was that way Mikel, i don't think they'd deserve their QB status. I don't see any QB's that "compete" for it. Anyone that does it, just for the QB status, doesn't deserve it :) Just my 2/100 of a buck.

Well you could have both, current is QB and after the time allotted they could be QBr for retired.Personally I'm fine with the way it is now.

Ditto. If my QB tag expires after a pre-determined period of time, that is fine with me - I had it for that time! I had noticed, however, that there are now many more QBs than there were in CB1...

Maybe tag the year with the QB? It may slightly bloat some names, seeing QB06Pixel Sage. As I've stated previously and others have here, I think admins and sub admins should have a spiffy thing next to their name too. Of course, SAQB06Verifex would be a bit weird.

Maybe not if you alternate the colours, add some flashes, fireworks, etc....*grins*

well, if we gave it a time limit, then we'll have the same people winning over and over.

If PM, Sut, Bast didn't have QB, I'm sure they'd get it again next time 'round.

The only way for a new QB to come about is, for one of the current ones to go inactive, that would open up a spot.
