EH Question... (in General)

GA returns the same type of damage given right back at you.
The EH blocks magical damage on a per + basis, which decays as the rounds progress.

So, shouldn't the EH protect a mage against GA backlash better than a MCM does, especially in the early ranged rounds?
I only ask because I did a bit of testing against a single opponent, only paying attention to the first round, as thats when the biggest difference between the two should allegedly take place. I noticed practically no difference between the two armors. Has anyone else looked into this?

One would think that should be the case, as GA damage is based on the same damage you do. However, there is are variabilities in damages from battle to battle.

I have even noticed sometimes minions with 0AC taking less damage from fireballs then minions with 200 AC.

My attacks were pretty consistent, 4 battles with each...
I dont think the EH magical component protects against magical GA return, quite a shame.

Sadly the EH does nothing against AMF...which it should block since AMF blowback is magical damage...do I hear a buff coming? (I hope so)

Your showing AMF damage which can only be lowered by 2 means.

1) Higher DD vs your opponents AMF level
2) TOE

Any armor does nothing vs AMF and neither does protection.

It's never cropped up before, as you couldn't get returned magical damage while wearing a MgS. :/

I still think the EH has no effect on GA backlash. My HoC allows for 2 shots in the first round, which is where the EH should have it's maximum payout against GA, if it does have it. I can post the raw numbers if you need me to.

Higher DD = Higher damage = more AMF blowback.

Tho it may be a smaller percentage, you're still receiving similar blowback. Didn't your CoC experiment show this?
