Hiring Minions (in General)

Seeing as its changemonth thought I would bring this one back up, been suggested lots of times before (not by me :D).

Let us have a third option for hiring minions, but they start with no experience, but cost nothing either. Lets the non USD spender go single minion for awhile and still be able to add more minions.

Yeah!

hrm I just thought of a major drawback with this...

hiring minions at the end of the day for extra kill slots and firing them when you log back in for no experience dilution :( Well I'm sure there could be a limit on when you can fire them or something along those lines.

Or perhaps thats why that is the reason we can't have free minions :D

This has been proposed a few times.

One solution would be a cheap minon, let us say for MPR/10 (with a minimum of perhaps 100k) in cost that gives no xp. That would stop almost everyone from hiring/unhiring etc.... But still make it cheap enough to hire a new minion with no xp for those at higher MPRs who do not have tens of millions of cb2 to spend.

Sounds like an awesome idea Ranger

Agreed. To get my new minion now, I would need to again, get another 10 million from somewhere... and thats the cheap option. Allowing an even cheaper option would allow the non usd spenders and the players who do not play 24-7 a chance at getting more minions... could help retain some players as the bordem factor would be slightly lower.

Another way would be to implement a flat fee to hire an new expless minion. Something that prohibits defensive hires.

Yeah, something like 50k, I'm sure people wont spend 150k for a couple hours of kill slots to only fire them.

50K for a kill spot. Wasn't someone spending more than that a day to buy up seekers to keep others from getting them and not even using them?

Flamey June 15 2007 9:00 PM EDT

considering you burn more than one set, probably 3, you'd have to spend at least 50k and up to 150k between each set? I'd think you're quite stupid if you do that.

It'd only be defensive anyways. You fight with those kills slots and you are giving up 3/4 of the EXP you earn when you fire them later. Pretty sure that's a fairly foolproof plan there.
