What kind of PTH do you guys use on your ammo? How much do you put in there instead of in your weapon? I have mine at +6 right now, which is kind of pricey.

I use base.
If that does not work, I have no business fighting that character.

coming from the person with the biggest MPR around ;)
"If that does not work, I have no business fighting that character."
heh... easy for you to say.
I tried +4 for awhile because of my measley +50 exbow, but it got too expensive to be worthwhile.
I've been using +5 for a while, I should run it down and use base, but I just like that little extra, now that Sut's fighting again.
Ideally I would like to fold it back into my exbow, but if I need +6 to fight, +18 on the bow would be something like $20m. I only have to pay about $30k for a stack of 10k bolts or so.

And using +5 and making your exbow +3 more? what would that lead to?
$2.4m for +3.
I ran it to 167 to get the cusp of the naming bonus.
I see your point, though, Shade -- do it slightly instead of all the way. I may do that.
I guess you could an equation to see how far off the break even point would be if you just keeping pumping the ammo or spend 21 mil on the exbow. I would hazard a guess of much more then a year from now :D
+10 on my named bolts coming from a +35 Exbow... so in essence I'm shooting about +65 from my exbow from a wall

Ammo PTH? What's that? Is it like ToA PTH? ;)
Maybe it's because I'm coming from a place where money is tight but I prefer to invest in the weapon rather than the ammo.
For me it's the difference between owning the damage or renting it.

I use +8 for defense base for fighting

Always named ammo and always base.
Johnny puts it very well. I also prefer to own the damage rather than just rent it.
Well, JW, you're right to a point. However, when the cost of renting won't cross the cost of buying for about ten years.......... I think renting is the way to go.
Draco - I considered doing that with an Axbow, and coupling Ax with Ex :)
Or a SoD
Just for the record, my Exbow is 167 named, my ammo is 6 named, bringing the total to 167*1.03 + 6*1.03*3 = 173 + 21 = 194. That's a pretty sizable PTH. Buying that with cash would break my own bank.
