I liked 4,5 & 6, but not 1,2 & 3. In fact I've not bothered even watching the 3rd one, or is that the 6th..?

The first movie put out, the original Star Wars was a classic. New spin on an old fairy tale. And done with excellent special effects. Not overwhelming but good enough to make the story believable.
The 2nd was good also. Two stories taking place at the same time. At the time the movie was released, it was fairly state of the art movie making.
The 3rd, with the stupid Ewok's was beyond believable. It was supposed to take place on the Wookie planet but I guess that would not see a lot of Happy Meals and play toys for the kids. IMO, still watchable but not a great movie.
I never bothered with the 4th, 5th or 6th movie and from what my friends tell me, I was smart to not waste time with them.

I've seen Episodes 1, 2, 3. Tried to watch Episode 4, but can't even finish it...maybe one day I'll be bored enough to tears.
Well, the first ones were good. I would not say they are great movies, but they are certainly not poor movies either. The special effects used in all three have aged pretty well, the characters are somewhat likable, and the story, while simple, is efficient.
As for the newest three movies...
First one I watched at the theater. And fell asleep before the end. And what can I say about [I will NOT write his name. Terrible things could happen.]? Useless, boring, annoying character. Bleeeeh.
Second one I watched for twenty minutes, then Starcraft seemed more interesting, so I migrated to the computer room.
Third one I did not even see yet, and you can tell I'm not really interested in doing so.
In the end, 1,2,3 = Good.
4,5,6=Garbage.
I can't think much of a series of movies that suck 50% of the time. Very inconsistent film-making there:)
Mind you, when I say 1,2,3, I am speaking about their order of appearance, and not their chronological order :)

Absolutely love Star Wars.
The movies are great... well, not so much the prequels, but they aren't horrible. Worth watching for sure.
I'm also a huge Star Wars Extended Universe fan. All of my CB names are SW characters, and my named items are SW inspired. I've read I think at last count 50 some SW books... can't wait for the latest one to come out next week.

I really liked 4, 5, and 6 as movies - not as obsessions, so not well enough to participate in a trivia - and I appreciated the makings of 1, 2, and 3 for the background. Can't help but agree with Ashilizator, that thing is a scar in my mind...
I loved all six. I first saw Star Wars in the theater in 1977, when I was 11, and its been an obsession ever since. My younger sister was 6 at the time, and she's just as obsessed. We've never gone so far as to do the "dress-up" thing, though (although her now 6 year old son ends up as some Star Wars character or another every Halloween).
The only bad thing I have to say about 1, 2, and 3 is that George Lucas should never again attempt to write "romantic dialogue", otherwise, I liked them all.
For my 40th birthday, they threw a "Star Wars Marathon" party for me and several of my nephews - from 8AM until 10 PM, we watched all 6 episodes, plus the 2 animated "Clone Wars" movies, all in order, on my in-laws' 60" TV.
Almost all of the other adults gave up one by one, and by Episode 5 it was just me, my younger sister, and the 5, 8, and 10 year olds. :)
