I got up to vocabulary level 43 as I generated 680 grains of rice! Go give!

Up to 420 and I can't get out of upper-30s.

I only hit 43 when I got a lucky string of a couple words I knew and about 3-4 lucky guesses. *smile* I would say my real "average" score was about 39-40...

I have generated 1000 grains of rice. And got to vocabulary level 21. Though most of the words I had never heard before since I'm not natively English speaking. (not bad imo)

Not at all. I'm in love with words, and some of these are throwing me completely. If it wasn't multiple choice, I'd be dead by now :P

I've got like 10 words in a row right and only been bumped one point. Not sure how the system works...

Weasel sent me this a week ago, as it can be played at work. I spent one night on it; 4800+ grains of rice and pretty perpetually thrown back to 49.

what the hell, flummox for the first word? fine...they can keep their damned rice.

If you've ever formally studied latin (or greek to a lesser extent) I think you could do quite well. They like to throw more obscure words out like "luculent" which has the same root as the more common "lucid."

Of course then they start using obscure stuff in the answers too. ("littleneck" = "quahog"? I had to look up quahog after missing that one.)

I was up to 43 pretty quickly, then got an unlucky string of exceptionally weird words. I had to get back to work before I could get myself back above 41... :(

So when do I receive my rice? ;)

Very nice stuff. I could only manage a 45 in short span I was able to play, though I did start a Facebook group here in order to spread the word. Join it if you will.

Yeah, the mix of "standard" roots and weird words involving such things as breech-loading rifles was interesting. *smile*

Lol, some words I know the signification..but not those they throw at me as answers :P

Whew. level 43 but only 750 grains donated. I'll have to do some more tomorrow. Time to head home now.

My mum speaks fluent Greek + French and knows latin. Think I'm gonna get her to give this a try :P

A thousand grains of rice and my mum got up to 46 and averaged about 43. Didn't drop below 40 once

37-39s for me, donated about 700 grains

My English isn't as good as you guys... but I did manage to get all of my SAT vocab questions right... mainly by luck through guessing :P

Averaged 25, highest was 29, I donated 2530 grams. considering GW is only a year older than me, I'm slightly worried :\ I looked up a few of the words that I had no idea existed, some of them had (usage = Amer.) funny that :P

Is anyone else finding this game to be buggy today? It worked fine for me yesterday, at work. Now today, at home, it almost always tells me I chose the wrong word, but indicates that the correct word is the one I chose.

Same here Mael which is why I was just coming to post, why tell me the correct answer is the one I gave and taint my vocabulary skills? I'm at level 2 for getting about 15 corect but 'wrong'

I donated about 3600 grains last night... got to levels 31-33

I average about 41, I guess. Donated about 2000 grains of rice so far.

I stopped at 1000 grains with a vocab level of 37.

Not bad I guess for someone who isn't a native English speaker. =)
