Can we get commas on everything in the battle page? (in General)

QBRanger October 30 2007 7:03 PM EDT

One example from a recent battle:

Cloudscape found no valid targets on which to cast Antimagic Field
Prophecies cast Ethereal Chains on all enemy Minions (1397279)
Microchips cast Ethereal Chains on all enemy Minions (3507485)
Sox cast Dispel Magic on all enemy Minions (1,200,000)
Sox cast Protection on all friendly Minions (20)
Ranged Combat
Cloudscape hit Sox with Destroy [858700]
The Grid hit Sox with Spiral [1053791]
The Grid skewered Sox with Spiral [1065309]
The Grid cries "Say Hello to my Little Friend!"
Sox hit Prophecies [491]
R.I.P. Sox

The DM effect gets commas, but the damage done and the EC effect do not. Can we make this uniform?

Give it time...

FailBoat[SG] [Forever Alone] October 30 2007 8:43 PM EDT

Commas in all damage output would be nice.

SNK3R October 30 2007 8:45 PM EDT

I've been aching for commas in the transfer log for quite some time now...

48xVanished48 October 30 2007 8:48 PM EDT

Let's make it happen. :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] October 30 2007 9:17 PM EDT

needs more cowbell...err, commas

Wasp October 31 2007 2:53 AM EDT

Easier on the eyes. Long live the commas!

Woot. I'm part of a thread and being used as an example. Sorry. This post has nothing to do with the thread but was excited none the less.

commas please!

AdminG Beee November 1 2007 4:24 PM EDT

Let's pause for thought, are commas really necessary?

QBRanger November 1 2007 4:25 PM EDT

Yes

Flamey November 1 2007 4:25 PM EDT

Yes, so it doesn't take 5 seconds to figure out if that is hundred thousand or million. Plus, why does DM only have it?

QBRanger November 1 2007 4:27 PM EDT

I will say it again for those in the back row:

yes

AdminG Beee November 1 2007 4:35 PM EDT

I made a funny and I think the audience missed it :)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] November 1 2007 4:37 PM EDT

hehe, that was pretty darn hilarious!

emotions just get so high when dealing with punctuation that everyone gets all literal it seems.

QBRanger November 1 2007 4:39 PM EDT

There are 3 things we do not debate in my family:

Politics, religion and punctuation.

BluBBen November 1 2007 4:41 PM EDT

In my family we don't discus that I haven't changed underwear for half a year now.

QBRanger November 1 2007 4:44 PM EDT

But you do wear it inside out every other day, don't you?

TheHatchetman November 1 2007 4:45 PM EDT

"There are 3 things we do not debate in my family:

Politics, religion and punctuation."

Ironically enough, you missed something...

QBRanger November 1 2007 4:52 PM EDT

As I remember (and others can chime in), it is acceptable to not put a comma between the 2nd and 3rd nouns in a list if you use the word and.

I may be wrong but I do not think it is unacceptable.

NSFY November 1 2007 4:52 PM EDT

Don't turn this into a discussion of the serial comma - that's like a double gitmo can of punctuation worms.

Unappreciated Misnomer November 1 2007 5:59 PM EDT

i say nay to the commas, the market for commas is at an all time high, the government has been subsidizing comma distributors and manufacturers. and with inflation on the rise and those greedy buggers wanting more profit i say save your ones and zeros they are best spend elsewhere. :P
