Too many Ex Shots? (in General)

I counted the number of bundles of Explosive Shots have spawned in the past 1 hour.

75 bundles!!

Average of 700 in each that is about 50k Exshots. In just 1 hour.

I think all those using SOD's are going to be well supplied.

Perhaps we should just admit that the people using the SOD only really use exshots and just make the SOD auto exshot. Now that ammo supply (the one thing preventing most of us from using one) is virtually unlimited (at this rate of course).

Sort of like what happened with the seeker arrows. Sort of but not exactly.

Can an admin add exshot to the dictionary?

Being a long term SoD user I can safely say that 50k worth of shot would last me a few months, and I can pretty much guarantee that not many people use as much ex shot as I do.

Still with that much spawning at least if I do need any more I can walk in and get some. After watching how many iron shots are being bought by other people that is..... ;)

I'll go for auto ex shot! That would suit me down to the ground....:D

there are possibly a very small number of instances where SoD + IS is the best option. allows for more damage than crossbows, without necessitating archery, and leaving you wide open for the GA damage that comes with the spread...

Not very likely... but still possible...

From my own experience, if I was going to use iron shot with my SoD I'd be better off with a mageseeker, or even a compound. For me at least, the weapon is the SoD AND ex shot. They're a whole package. Personally I couldn't separate them.

lol but it's more fun having to buy it from store to get the explosive effect isn't it? It's still a good cash sink and exciting visits to store makes you a bit nostalgic of the good ole store camping :)

Hmm. That's simply too easy to make it happen. I can't actually see the point of this. And with a bundle of 50k ex shots I'm supplied for quite a long time. So there's no need for me to do any more spawning. So, apart from the fact that you can - what is the point of this? Either lots of people sitting on huge bundles of ex shot or huge bundles going into auction that nobody will buy because they can just make it spawn.

Ex shot has now just become free.

According to those who have tested the damage output from a heavy crossbow compared to a SoD, the damage output when using IS for the SoD is about the same as the damage output from a heavy crossbow using bolts.

So there is no more use for an SoD with Iron Shots. Getting a Heavy Crossbow is a much cheaper option in that case.

No way there's too many EX Shots. I visited the store 3 times and picked up the ammo sitting there for a nice 18k bundle ! My SoD should be good for a while now.

at the same time; ditch ammo all together and make all ranged auto-fire the default arrows, bows or ex shots. its not like crossbow or bow users get any choice of ammo anyway, why not just make it auto-fire the arrows?
