Disenchanting (in Changelog)

The Blacksmith will now offer to disenchant rare items and give you some of the value extracted back as cash.

Currently he gives 65% back. I expect this to go down soon.

I am quite certain I'm not supposed to be offered around 5.6 mil CB$ for a "downgrade" from +14 to +6 for a pair of Alatar's Gloves (total NW only around 4.8 mil at +14).

I have this nagging feeling that IF I somehow "take advantage" of this, there would be some punishment attached ;)

disenchant is offline (it will error out) until I have time to debug this.

hmmm, disenchant, sounds a bit like an idea I posted, give that disenchant option to forgers ONLY with at least 50m forged on year!!!
Consider it like a tribute to real forgers.

If you are still having trouble with disenchant, please post what item you want to disenchant (and how much) and I will investigate.

Fixed once I swapped the mageseeker out. I think +0 weapons break it.

I can't wait to see the percentage increase in liquid asset when this week.

I hope that the disenchanting rate will stay like this for at least a week so my weapons can return from rentals so I can do this to them.

How about unforgeable items? Will it always stay at 65%?

Unforgible items disenchant at 65%. The rate will go down, probably soon.

Does anyone know how long before the disenchanting value drops I have loads of gear in rentals that needs disenchanting and its not back for 15 days

personally i think probably another 2 weeks to a month but yea you never know with jon =x
