T28: Stop Being Greedy, SNK4R! (in Contests)

SNK3R April 29 2008 8:01 PM EDT

This tournament will begin May 3rd, 12:00 PM and end on May 10th, 12:00 PM.

This tournament is extraordinarily simple (with a cheesy storyline -- hey, I'm bored!):

SNK4R has been greedy lately. All he wants to do is have all of the rares for himself. SNK4R is on the verge of crashing the CB economy and there won't be any rares left! Help save CB's economy by making as much money as possible during the tournament. This money will be sent to Jonathan, which will (in effect) bribe Jonathan to ban SNK4R's greediness. (Sweet justice!)

So, if you missed it:

The Goal:

Dude, SNK4R, who are you kidding? WHAT ARE THE DAMN PRIZES!?

Rules:

Some things to think about:

Good luck!

FuriousHobo April 29 2008 8:05 PM EDT

SFBM FTW. :))

ActionAction April 29 2008 8:10 PM EDT

Go SNK! :D. I might just enter this contest to see how close it can get :P.

lostling April 29 2008 8:14 PM EDT

=\ i dont think i can play this... been trying to clear my char for weeks... and still havent managed to free up a char damn this irks me

QBOddBird April 29 2008 8:32 PM EDT

At least you don't have to taste the bitter feeling of disappointment when I take 1st place

OB FTW!1!!1!one!

three4thsforsaken April 29 2008 8:41 PM EDT

I think the use of auctions should be regulated :P

TheHatchetman April 29 2008 8:43 PM EDT

now I have to decide between sniping a HoC from existence or a huge ToE and Corn to keep... Hmmm...

QBOddBird April 29 2008 8:44 PM EDT

3/4 - the fact that the point of the tourney is to SAVE money makes it self-regulating. Think about it for a minute.

lostling April 29 2008 8:47 PM EDT

=\ *sob* why... why does it have to be now =\

three4thsforsaken April 29 2008 9:07 PM EDT

I was thinking more along the lines of getting a good deal, or perhaps an underhanded trade (Hey, could you buy this item for say 300k more?). Auctions is the best way to get cash fast :P

QBOddBird April 29 2008 9:09 PM EDT

That is quite a good point, but now you've given it away to everyone :P

Cube April 29 2008 9:10 PM EDT

lostling... find someone you trust and.. rent a storage space =)

lostling April 29 2008 9:18 PM EDT

nono the point is im still waiting for stuff to come back FROM rentals... i have enuff space lol.... if this tourny was a week later i would be like crazy happy =\

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 29 2008 9:19 PM EDT

great prizes for an interesting tourney

SNK3R April 29 2008 9:22 PM EDT

Rule added:

Auction-selling and auction-purchasing is prohibited at any time in the tournament.

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 29 2008 9:25 PM EDT

So it is only possible to obtain equipment through the store?

lostling April 29 2008 9:25 PM EDT

=\ snk4r could the tourny start alittle later? like say 5 days later?
/me is depressed

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] April 29 2008 9:27 PM EDT

You can try starting late. In the last tourney I started 2 days after the beginning, because that was went i got back home.

lostling April 29 2008 9:28 PM EDT

rentals aint coming back until 5-6 days from now =\ by that time i would not have the time to burn 3k BA =\

Yukk April 29 2008 10:36 PM EDT

Lost, I'm sure I remember a post from Ranger saying he'd burned 250BA in 5 minutes or something once.

lostling April 29 2008 10:37 PM EDT

but the point is i could probably burn as fast... but it would take time for the BA to regen again

lostling April 29 2008 10:41 PM EDT

make the starting BA 3k and i might have a chance lol

Ulord[NK] April 29 2008 11:45 PM EDT

Problem:

Since auction selling and buying is banned, the only way to get equipment, most significantly tattoos is to buy from store. Since all tourney players have cooldown while playing from store, what stops other regular players from buying up all the tatts (which were sold) before any tourney players can get them? Also, what about people selling tatts to store just to buy them for their tourney?

QBOddBird April 30 2008 12:30 AM EDT

Looks like you'll have to find a time when few people are on to do it

Brakke Bres [Ow man] April 30 2008 5:45 AM EDT

Ill be watching closely on this one.

AdminG Beee April 30 2008 11:45 AM EDT

lostling,
Direct from the manage chars page: Retired characters may be unretired after not less than 4 days and not more than 9. (This gives you a chance to change your mind.) They will show up here with an option to unretire during and only during that time period.

Retire any of your chars that have no items out to rent and you'll be able to unretire it after the tourney has finished - so long as you retire your touney char first of course. Assuming you have at least one character without the rentals restriction of course.

That would work for you - no ?

QBOddBird April 30 2008 11:48 AM EDT

"Assuming you have at least one character without the rentals restriction of course. "

I think that was his problem, at least last I checked. We traded tattoos and he couldn't even re-equip b/c of all his rental items. ;'P

lostling April 30 2008 12:12 PM EDT

trying to free up retaliationangels to retire him... unfortunately he still has 3 items on him... 2 weps coming back in 5-6 days and a corn coming back in 7... yep...

QBOddBird April 30 2008 12:15 PM EDT

lost - it would come back 3 days into the tourney, so you'd have 4 days to burn off 3,000 BA. It'll be tight, but you can do it! *cheers*

lostling April 30 2008 1:01 PM EDT

errm 7 days from now.... and the tourny stats in like 2 days? and it will end when?

QBOddBird April 30 2008 1:42 PM EDT

Starts in 2 days?

First post says May 3rd, AFAIK this is still April 30th....

(0.0) [SeeD] May 2 2008 8:14 PM EDT

How much starting BA?

SNK3R May 2 2008 10:30 PM EDT

300.

The Pope [Serenity In Chaos] May 3 2008 9:09 AM EDT

there should be a page to see tourney scores and characters, or is there??? I never saw one if there is one...

QBOddBird May 3 2008 9:21 AM EDT

Always has been, it's right on the home page near clan scores and such.

Alternatively, you can check standings/attributes and then shift over to the Tournament heading (as opposed to, say, Gondor.)

Cube May 3 2008 2:21 PM EDT

Is it legal to buy tattoos from the store with your main in order to keep other people from getting them?

(0.0) [SeeD] May 3 2008 2:25 PM EDT

That was a mean thing to do, just to tell you

Cube May 3 2008 2:29 PM EDT

I'm sorry, but in all fairness I didn't have 5 lesser tattoos to sell to the store so that my tournament character could get one...

tasuki [UFC] May 3 2008 2:31 PM EDT

It is a strategic move but kind of underhanded. Can always sell it back tho and let bygones be bygones.

Now if you use your tourny character to buy the tats away from people then I don't see a problem.

(0.0) [SeeD] May 3 2008 2:31 PM EDT

well, you could have waited 20 minutes to buy one?

Cube May 3 2008 2:34 PM EDT

Honestly, I think both sides are kind of underhanded. However, I will gladly send the tattoos back at the end of the tournament for free.

Other than that, I'm going to wait until an Admin gives me an answer to what is considered fair.

QBOddBird May 3 2008 2:38 PM EDT

Of course both paths are fair.

*Be creative to try to get the most money on that tournament character as possible by the end!

Now, the clever thing to do would be to sell them one at a time, and watch to make sure no tourney players are on while you do it.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 3 2008 2:39 PM EDT

normally the rules stated in the first post are the only ones to follow. other than that, it is what your conscience allows!

QBOddBird May 3 2008 2:45 PM EDT

"and always let your conscience be your guide"

*sings*

Lochnivar May 3 2008 2:56 PM EDT

I have no conscience, would that then explain the pervasive 'lost' feeling?

/me goes back to thinking up get rich quick scams for the tourney...

TheHatchetman May 3 2008 3:10 PM EDT

I have a decent number of tats to unload during the tourney, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I can assure you, getting ahold of a tat will not be too difficult ^_^

j'bob May 3 2008 9:00 PM EDT

Just a question. I've never payed much attention to the tourneys, this is my first try. My tourney characters "get more" ba is the same price as my NCB character. Does that mean the ba regen rate is the same also (8/20)? If that's the case, is an NUB's extra tourney ba free? Can non NCB characters buy their ba at a regular price?
I understand there is a hard cap of ba to spend but it would seem the difference would be if you could get free or cheap ba you have the advantage of definitely hitting that cap (spending as much as possible when you have the time to do it) where as someone else may not.

This is NOT a complaint post, just wondering. I only note the above paragraph because I figured it might come up in someone's answer.
Thanks!!! :D

Admin{CB1}Slayer333 May 3 2008 9:02 PM EDT

You can't buy BA on a tournament character, and your refresh rate should stay at 10/20

Your main character should be unaffected

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] May 3 2008 9:03 PM EDT

I'm not sure if you actually can buy ba for a tourney char. But I do know that if you can that is your regular buyable ba. Meaning if you buy for the tourney you can't buy for your regular char.

j'bob May 3 2008 9:07 PM EDT

Okels, thanks for the quick replies. I clicked on the get more but at 4300 a piece I obviously did not actually try to buy any so I wasn't sure.
Thanks again.

j'bob May 3 2008 9:28 PM EDT

Just checked and my Tourney char is DEFINITELY getting 8/20.
Not that THAT will be the reason I'm not gonna win, just want it to be known in case it's happening to everyone and is supposed to be different.

j'bob May 3 2008 9:48 PM EDT

Ok, I'm REEEEEEALLLLLY sorry to be cluttering up the thread, but it is all in the name of good will toward all.
I tried to check again about the ba with my tourney character but at some point the frame decided to not reload my ba. It confused my regular characters ba (showing) and my tourney characters. Which was interesting because while I still had 41 on my reg character AND it was showing 41 on my tourney char (I even logged out and back in) it wouldn't let me use them because tourney guy was actually down to 0 ba (which was correct).
HOWEVER, when it did finally refresh (tourney char) it appears that NOW I am indeed getting 10/20.
Sigh. I know this was all very confusing and this will be the last post about it.
/me sits in the corner with his dunce cap on and cries

TheHatchetman May 3 2008 11:29 PM EDT

Translation. BA showing can be a little screwy at times, but everything is working properly. In order to see your current BA, have a forgable item (the base weapon you bought to start will work), then go into the forge. you don't even need to spend a BA, just enter the forge, and your proper BA will be there. ^_^

QBOddBird May 4 2008 9:54 AM EDT

Best tourney ever

maybe

but definitely in the top 3

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 4 2008 12:46 PM EDT

it is great fun!

Cube May 4 2008 1:14 PM EDT

Ouch... 5x the money on my tourney character as compared to my main character

And I agree, good tournament.

Phrede May 4 2008 1:21 PM EDT

I have too much equipment cant play :(

Cube May 4 2008 1:27 PM EDT

There really should be a tournament character slot.

QBOddBird May 4 2008 1:41 PM EDT

I agree, that lack of a T-slot kept both Freed and lostling from playing this go around...possibly others...

Cube May 4 2008 1:45 PM EDT

Oddly enough the 1st & 3rd richest on the page in Gondor, can't play the tournament with the goal to make the most money. =/

ActionAction May 4 2008 3:06 PM EDT

If y'all equipped your extra stuff on all those minions you had lying around, you'd have more space than you'd ever need :P. If you don't have a multi-minion mule character yet, you should probably invest the 0$ it takes to hire 4 minions :D.

Cube May 4 2008 3:26 PM EDT

They have that many rentals.

three4thsforsaken May 4 2008 3:28 PM EDT

where does it keep track of BA for BA limit?

Cube May 4 2008 3:31 PM EDT

^Battle Challenged. Unless you forge during the tournament for some reason? Oh interesting... someone should clarify this.

Also, I'm guessing this is already working, but NUBs don't actually get the bonus do they? Because this is what the character page says.

ILoveMoney (tournament 28)
a Character belonging to Eliteofdelete
Created May 03, 2008 (NUB until May 30)

AdminNemesia [Demonic Serenity] May 4 2008 3:34 PM EDT

Nubs don't get the bonus for the tourney. I played in tourneys while I was a nub and it just gave tourney char bonus.

QBOddBird May 4 2008 3:41 PM EDT

Cube - forging during a tourney cuts out of your BA cap. I did this last tourney and barely won due to coming up 44 battles short of the cap. :)

Colonel Custard May 6 2008 3:59 PM EDT

From the wiki page on tournaments:

"Decay will not be allowed in most tournaments, unless otherwise stated, assume that decay may not be trained."

I notice that a bunch of teams (or at least a few notable ones) are using Decay this tournament. I see no rule stating specifically that Decay may be used. Come to think of it, I don't recall having seen a tournament thread say that in a while. Should the wiki be updated, as this seems to be no longer true?

Just a concern I have. I don't mean to get anyone DQed.

Cube May 6 2008 4:14 PM EDT

At the top of the page:

Rules:

* 3,000 BA limit.
* Auction-selling and auction-purchasing is prohibited at any time in the tournament.
* Everything else is allowed. Be creative!

At least that was my interpretation.

SNK3R May 6 2008 4:15 PM EDT

The initial post said everything (except auction-buying/selling) is allowed.

Stop trying to over-think things.

QBOddBird May 7 2008 4:08 PM EDT

Hehe, I just realized my tourney character was at the 9/20 regen rate.

lostling May 7 2008 4:10 PM EDT

$25,923 bid by BrownRo (kkkkjjjj) -- tournament 28 on 7:43 AM EDT

QBOddBird May 8 2008 2:55 PM EDT

omG this is way too close

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 8 2008 4:52 PM EDT

well i am out of the running. g'luck to the rest of ya!

QBOddBird May 9 2008 2:12 AM EDT

Hair's breadth here, it is completely up to randomness who wins, and Tez looks like he's coming up strong too for the randomness competition

Cube May 9 2008 4:02 PM EDT

Oh great, I was relying on this... Ouch.

The following items could not be assigned:

* A Lesser Rune of Solitude lvl 116,922 (tournament characters may not sell valuable items directly to the store. use auctions instead)

Other assignments, if any, succeeded.

Sale price: $340,097

QBOddBird May 9 2008 4:05 PM EDT

Yes, we knew about that ;)

That's why I refused to buy a tattoo, ditto to Hatch, probably ditto to RD.

Hakai [Aye Phelta Thi] May 9 2008 4:09 PM EDT

Why does it say "Use auctions instead" if you aren't allowed to?

QBOddBird May 9 2008 4:19 PM EDT

Because the "no auctions" rule is for this tourney only.

IndependenZ May 10 2008 5:25 AM EDT

Well, I'm out as well. Guess I stayed single mage too long, my 8.6mil isn't going to cut it. I think my char is kind tough for the other tourney chars though. Anyway, good luck to the remaining players!

Hakai [Aye Phelta Thi] May 10 2008 11:34 AM EDT

So...what, like 1/2 an hour left? Good luck!! ^_^

QBOddBird May 10 2008 11:54 AM EDT

Team Awesome wins again!

Thraklight Resonance May 10 2008 2:00 PM EDT

I really like that assist that you got from MrsDi at the end. :-)

QBRanger May 10 2008 2:04 PM EDT

What you typing about Thrak?

Thraklight Resonance May 10 2008 2:06 PM EDT

He creatively transferred his ncb character Heijin II to MrsDi so that he could attack the character. I don't recall anyone ever doing that before in a previous tourney.

Tezmac May 10 2008 2:08 PM EDT

Ooooh, that was sneaky, nice!!!

QBRanger May 10 2008 2:12 PM EDT

I guess that is part of the "anything goes" portion of the discussion!!!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 10 2008 2:17 PM EDT

similar things have happened in all the tourneys so far. some play fair, some play to win. i have made some suggestions, as have others, to make tourney play more fair, but we will just have to wait and see if that is a goal that others share. it makes little difference to me either way it goes, i will play while i have fun with them and stop when i cease to do so.

Cube May 10 2008 2:24 PM EDT

Ehh at least I got some consolation prizes

QBOddBird May 10 2008 2:40 PM EDT

"some play fair, some play to win."

AFAIK, everyone played fair. Rule #3: "Everything else is allowed. Be creative!"

...and yes, each time I decided to do something creative, I cleared it with SNK4R first. I sent Hejin II off to MrsDi to ensure that I got the highest SCORE in the tourney - I already had won #1 in money.

TheHatchetman May 10 2008 2:52 PM EDT

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 10 2008 2:55 PM EDT

i was merely speaking in generalities, if you are cool with how you played, why are you so defensive?

i will add however, that leniency in certain matters means that those who do not ask or feel that certain things are just wrong, such as buying tats with your main so that others can not have them, will eventually lead to tournaments being a competition to see who can bend the rules the most.

those wanting a fair playing field and to see who can come up with the best strategy for a given circumstance will likely stop playing entirely. personally i am not ready to give up yet on tourneys, but each tourney out of the last five or so have made me more likely to do just that at some point in the future rather than sticking around and having a good time.

i take more issue with tournament management at this point though than players. there will always be those who want to push the limits, whether they are allowed to do so is where the problem lies.

QBOddBird May 10 2008 2:57 PM EDT

I was defensive because this line, which came after a reference to me:

"similar things have happened in all the tourneys so far. some play fair, some play to win."

insinuates that someone was playing unfairly. If that wasn't your intention, then my apologies I misunderstood.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 10 2008 3:02 PM EDT

my intentions were more to take issue with tat management in tourneys more than anything else. i have made a suggestion that in tourneys where tats are allowed, we each are given a lesser we can reink and that is our only option, so i will leave it at that.

as you stated, the other thing had no bearing on this tourneys results, when someone does it again and it does have an impact though what happens then?

QBRanger May 10 2008 3:05 PM EDT

"my intentions were more to take issue with tat management in tourneys more than anything else. i have made a suggestion that in tourneys where tats are allowed, we each are given a lesser we can reink and that is our only option, so i will leave it at that."

I completely agree. This is the one thing preventing me from doing tourneys. It becomes who can get the largest tattoo quickest.

I would state that in your scenario, where we are given a lesser tattoo to start, we are also given the free 1 time re-ink option on the first day. And of course, preventing T characters from buying tattoos in auctions or selling them.

Relic May 10 2008 3:07 PM EDT

Rule #3: "Everything else is allowed. Be creative!"

Get over it dudemus, you got owned. I say props to OB for coming up with a creative advantage that fits within the given tourney rules.

Cube May 10 2008 3:08 PM EDT

That sounds like a solid solution to the tattoo problem.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 10 2008 3:09 PM EDT

to clarify once again, the reason i am not ready to give up on tourneys is that i think this is a process we need to go through to create a more fair tourney system. it is the "creative" folks pushing the limits that will bring about issues where fairness can be achieved. where i will give up is when i see that we aren't actually moving in a "more fair" direction.

with that being said, i also propose this be added to tourney rules for future ones:

transfer of characters are not allowed during tourneys. self-policed by the community and admins so jon needs do nothing extra. if someone transfers beforehand, we can always see that in their fight logs and also benefit from it.

QBOddBird May 10 2008 3:10 PM EDT

If someone else intends to do it with an effect that has an impact on the tourney's results, I would suggest that they do as I did and ask the Tournament admin first, of course.

I wouldn't have done anything that risked DQ'ing me, and I felt safe in doing this because it had no bearing on my final ranking. However, if it had the potential to affect a win/loss situation, I would either ask the T-admin and request a straight answer as to how legal it was or I would simply refrain from doing so altogether. :P

I assume all the other tournament players would do so as well.

Cube May 10 2008 3:11 PM EDT

I don't really see an issue with transferring characters, maybe if the tournament is score based, but otherwise I don't think it's a huge problem especially since everyone will find that transfered character within 20 minutes if you are fighting it.

QBRanger May 10 2008 3:12 PM EDT

In the interest of fairness, I cannot see many people complaining about that new rule.

However, in this particular tourney, there was a "no holds barred" type of rule.

OB may have stretched the rules, but that is what SNK was actually looking for.

For other, more conventional tourneys, things like gifting characters so you can have a great target should certainly not be allowed.

As well as having a "friend" attack you numerous times to "gift" you money and xp. That is one things I have a huge issue with.

Relic May 10 2008 3:13 PM EDT

While you did play it safe OB talking with the tourney admin first, imo that should not be necessary given the rules were clearly stated before the tourney began.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 10 2008 3:16 PM EDT

Tournament BANK dude (9422609)
cashcow (8062418)
SugarDaddy (70199)

i was merely beaten, pwnage belongs to others!

"I don't really see an issue with transferring characters, maybe if the tournament is score based, but otherwise I don't think it's a huge problem especially since everyone will find that transfered character within 20 minutes if you are fighting it."

if someone were to wait until later to start their character, and then not fight the transferred character until the last 100 battles or so it could have an impact on the results, score-based or mpr-based. that was my concern.

TheHatchetman May 10 2008 3:20 PM EDT

There's also a whole page of tourney rules to begin with that went entirely unignored in the first place...

Not sure why all the railing on OB though... Only thing he really accomplished with the store thing and the char transfers was to increase the margin of the victory he already had... He was on track to beat out first place, and the only reason he could have been passed was by my disenchanting...

Besides, is absolute randomness any better than sneakyness for determining a winner?

TheHatchetman May 10 2008 3:22 PM EDT

or is G Beee the only one allowed to sell rares to the store? :P

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 10 2008 3:26 PM EDT

"Not sure why all the railing on OB though.."

i went back through the posts to see what you were referring to and i really do not see anyone railing on OB. is this going on in chat or something?

(0.0) [SeeD] May 10 2008 4:23 PM EDT

I think i might have come up with the xfering character idea but i didn't want to spend money to xfer it last tourney.

QBOddBird May 21 2008 1:15 AM EDT

Errr, feel free to send prizes whenever, SNK. 0=)

Not that I'm wanting to insta up that tattoo so I'm not borrowing Hatchet's or anything. Or that I owe Ranger 7.5mil. ;'P

QBOddBird May 23 2008 3:52 AM EDT

QBOddBird May 24 2008 1:31 AM EDT

Since he doesn't seem to have the time available to do it himself, could another admin hand out the tourney prizes before the next one starts? -.-

SNK3R May 24 2008 3:36 AM EDT

I'll get to it when I wake up.

Chill. Jesus.

QBRanger May 24 2008 7:14 AM EDT

Yea man,

It has only been 2 weeks since the tourney has finished. Chill!

SNK3R May 24 2008 5:07 PM EDT

Get bent, Ranger.

And for that, I'll wait until this evening to send out the prizes.

Nice to see our admins not using personal attack in the forums.

Thanks for using that to delay me getting the money OB owes me.

Thanks for at least getting to it this week.

"Get bent" ?

QBOddBird May 24 2008 5:30 PM EDT

You had the time to make the post - you've been coming online and posting - so you had the time to send the prizes, SNK4R. It's been 2 weeks. There's a WHOLE NEW TOURNAMENT THREAD.

And that annoying 'retaliatory' attitude really gets on my nerves, especially when you abuse your powers due to your little quirks. "Just because you said something I don't like, I'll withhold the tournament prizes for another player."

Here's another example: You decide to /ignore me for a week. When it comes off, we're back to pals and you wanna talk. Then I disappear for a few days, you get pissed, and won't talk to me when I return. So I /ignore you, since you won't talk and are ignoring me. You kick me. I kick back, and you /kill me. There's a difference between a kick and a /kill, SNK4R.

Here's another example! You make a bot that repeats everyone's lines as l33t spam, someone complains, you completely quit Chat. Yet another "I won't do it anymore!" tantrum.

You make a contest, get some flak mixed with criticism for it (I got flak as well, but I wasn't saying let's never have another contest) and you say "I'm never doing this again!"

You got flak for the QB process, and yet again, we have SNK4R saying "I'm done with this forever!"

I even found a CB1 thread where people didn't follow the line of conversation you wanted exactly or directions or something, and sure enough, "I'm quitting this."

You get pissed at another player over a chat conversation, you fine them their money jokingly or chatban then? It's complete admin powers abuse.

As is your tradition, I'm sure this will result in another "I can't believe I got criticism! I'm quitting doing any tournaments forever!" trip, as well. Unless, of course, by me saying so you decide not to simply to annoy me.

Fact is, I put up with your crap. I talk to you even though when you get butthurt, you /ignore, /kick, or /kill. I try and empathize with you even when you do retarded things like entirely quit Chat because you got a little criticism for your bot that repeated everything someone said as l33t.

But I'm not going to just keep acting like it doesn't bug me, SNK4R - it does. Hell, I can't even get my tourney prize because you're too lazy to hand it out on time, and if I bring up that you might be too busy and another admin can handle it, you take the time to post that you'll do it yourself without doing it yourself!!!

Sorry man, but I can't be your friend if it means I have to act like a freakin' counselor, babysitter, and psychologist. I swear, you're driving me up the wall.

If you can do your job as an admin, do it. If you can hand out those prizes, hell, the tournament's been over for over 2 weeks, you might as well hand them out already. If you can act like a proper player without abusing what responsibility you've been given, then do it.

But if you don't have the time - if you truly are too busy - if you really can't control your wild impulses - then hand off the responsibility.

'Course, I don't expect that kind of maturity from you, but I'm making the suggestion nonetheless.

I suspect in the case of "Get Bent" SNK is referring to diving.

When one comes up for air without decompressing, one can get "the Bends". Which is an incredible painful condition which can lead to death.

Something very nice for an admin to say to another player.

BTW:

OB ROCKS!!!

Ranger --

My searching shows that "get bent" is actually much worse than you describe. It is a way of telling someone to bend over and get sodomized.

That's the tamest of the definitions I found.

SNK, you always go too far with your tantrums. You have out done yourself this time. You owe Ranger and all of CB an apology.

QBRanger May 24 2008 7:34 PM EDT

No apology to me is needed.

I have frequently done the same. Things happens.

Thanks CB for piling on to a guy like a pack of wolves.

Whatever the situation, the way the this was handled was weak.
