Ok, I'm not training any XP at the moment. I'm hitting 'apply changes' on the train page and watching the tattoo grow with this and use. But am I missing out on any levelling of the tattoo by not actually training my XP?
I do this from time to time, I think the train/apply changes acts as a character/tattoo refresh/update, so you're not missing any leveling.

If you are, I wanna see what kinda power leveling you can get from an NCB training after every fight.
But no, I don't think you miss any, unless there's a server rollback before you hit "apply changes" or something.

Un-equipping and re-equipping the tattoo also refreshes the tattoo/mtl.
We haven't trained for 2 weeks and there has definitely been tat growth
tat's grow at cache flush every day even if you don't train or unequip them
