Familiar line up (in General)

Why can't we choose where our familiar is put in the line up of characters? With on minion it is up front... with more it is in back.... is there a reason why we can't move our familiar to a spot other than front or back?

I think it depends on whether your minion with familiar has a damage source or not.

Familiars are always created in front of a minion with a DD spell or weapon, and behind a minion without either of those.

and is this the reason I see some characters equiped with such items like a dagger on their minion with the familiar? For placement?

Yes.

Yeah, this is the reason you don't see me using a SoC with a MoD on my front minion. It would be very nice if we could choose, though there is no real incentive to change it :P.

If it ain't broke don't fix it? We have many other dire issues to have fixed in CB
