Erasing this account and starting a new one? (in General)

I was wondering if it was against the rules to do this, because at this rate I'll take forever to get to the top... I messed up a long time ago and wasn't able to use my NUB because I didn't have the Internet for a long time and I was wondering if I could just start over this way.

Wasp November 29 2008 6:22 PM EST

I believe you cannot do that. It's only deemed fair for brand new players or those using USD to have a chance at the higher ranks.

Picasso November 29 2008 6:23 PM EST

Unfortunately for you, no, you're not allowed to simply abandon an account and create a new one.... even if you ask for the old one to be deleted.

Your best bet is to create a NCB character and start over if you really want to work through the ranks. You wont get the money bonus and BA will be expensive, not free, but you will grow faster with a 6 month XP bonus.

Kliktu November 29 2008 6:25 PM EST

Ah... Alright, if thats my only option I'll do that.

Wizard'sFirstRule November 29 2008 6:52 PM EST

in that case, I suggest you buy one of the near top character and forge for like 40m before going for a NCB run. Then borrow 20-40m near the end of it should allow you to buy all BA without being 80m in debt. its not that bad tho, you can work it off it no time.

If you run an NCB, use it to power level a tattoo. That will be more valuable than any other aspect.

Good idea about buying a char. but Two things keep me from doing that: I like to do things myself ^.^ and also my wife doesn't let me use the credit card ;p

Kliktu November 29 2008 7:24 PM EST

Oh yeah, why did the cost to buy BA double for me? I couldn't find the reason in the wiki, sorry. It used to cost only 580 for me now it costs over 1000. I'm in the process of deleting an old char. Will it decrease once my old char. is deleted permanently?

Wizard'sFirstRule November 29 2008 7:47 PM EST

NCB have an automatic double BA cost, and no, if you delete a character, it is retired for a week or so, then it is gone permanently (not sure), during that time, between 4 and 7 days I believe, you can unretire, other than that, it will cost you 50k to ask an admin to unretire it for you.

iBananco [Blue Army] November 29 2008 8:37 PM EST

NCB BA cost is (1 + NCB bonus) * normal BA cost.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] November 29 2008 9:37 PM EST

with the current bonus rate, it is not bad growth at all without buying any ba. check out my character kwai chang for an idea of where you can be in five weeks if you miss hardly an ba and buy none. i did start with just under the 1600 ba cap.

i was mainly using this run as a tat levelling run but may stick with this character depending on how high i end up.

think of it this way

During an NCB you get an insane bonus to BA. Hence buying BA has a price proportional to the bonus exp you are getting. It's a good investment, but to tell you the truth, investing in good equips is more important.

NCBs are an excellent source of cash. I now hand you over to my good friend JohnnyWas.

Newlin [SeeD] November 30 2008 12:20 AM EST

I have also had my NCB for about 5 weeks. I haven't been able to burn all the BA available, but I burn about 500 each day and I think I have done well so far.

QBJohnnywas November 30 2008 5:25 AM EST

And welcome to the JW show. Go for the NCB, run a simple mage team and make a fortune by the time your char is bigger. You can get to a point very quickly where you are making a million a week, and you'll be growing a tattoo that carrys it's own value.

NCB. It's the way to go!

Flamey November 30 2008 5:30 AM EST

And that concludes the JohnnyWas show for this week, fellas. You heard it straight from the horse's mouth, the one who's done too many to count NCBs. They're moneymakers!
