Some thoughts:
new support item? How about one that helps out UC or the Jiggy. UC is still sitting there collecting dust.
The Jiggy is still bugged in a few ways, according to Nem. It doesn't work with SoC and the AoF doesn't even boost the UC.
Possible boosts for the Jiggy:
I don't believe Jiggy should be a offensive familiar, it should fit a defensive roll, a niche still unfilled. Perhaps
1. Give it more HP (perhaps train it to 100% of level)
2. More Evasion/dex
3. give endurance
4. innate AC
*shrugs*
two more cents.
is the aof and SoC problem in the list of things for jon and NS to fix? if not u might want to start there then ask for improvements, might as well get the ones already owing first.
i was also under the impression that jon had stated uc had some help coming its way. i think many of us are anxiously awaiting this if it comes to fruitiion. it would be nice to have some clarification on the aof and whether it should boost uc.
as for the soc, i never saw anything that would lead me to believe that the soc should work with it. it would be nice if it did though.
For clarification the SoC most definitely works just fine with UC. I just tested it out.

My minion monk trains UC.
i added that soc returns damage when used with uc to the wiki updates needed on the known issues page. i had wondered why anyone expected it to work with jiggies so that explains it.

I think an AoF boosted UC is way OP. the AoF doesn't boost any other familiar besides levels so why should jiggy get any special bonus. and besides a 30% boost to UC from a +10 AoF is a BIG boost.
And besides I am inherently against any jiggy boost because as far as I can tell dudemus is doing jusssst fine as it is (thanks for farming me incessently :)
just some thoughts...
dudemus: In the original post introducing the SoC, it was specified to work with hammer weapons, including UC. I think people expect it to work with UC and with Jiggy UC because that was originally specified as one of the things it would work with, and AFAIK that has not been changed.
SupperMan: AoF boosts all skills the same amount. Yes, 30% for a +10 is a big boost, but it was designed as such. It was a big boost for Evasion pre-change, but rather than make it no longer apply to Evasion, the fundamental functionality of Evasion was changed. After all, what is the AoF for, if not for boosting skills? Just in case you want to take 30% extra EC and AMF?
And, if you think about it, boosting a familiar by 30% is about 600 times as OP as boosting a skill like UC that has plenty of weaknesses.
first time I've heard UC considered OP, ever.

oh agreed. I only mean that it doesn't make sense to boost UC along with the familiar level seen as no other familiar has that benefit. And I would argue that UC is not as weak as you believe. I had huge problems hitting dudemus's jiggy when I had an ELB at +100 in ranged combat. Outside of EC, and ax/exbows the jiggy has few weaknesses assuming it lasts till melee combat...a feat I again congratulate dudemus in achieving quite well.

oh and I am mainly talking from the perspective of a tank. obviously a JF has many mage weaknesses
the wiki actually does state that aof boosts familar dd damage though as quoted below:
" * Abbreviation: AoF
* Base AC: 0
* Bonus 3% to trained Skills and all enchantments experienced (both friendly and otherwise; post-DM, if any. DM itself is not affected) for each enchantment point.
* When junctioned, AoF boosts familiar DD level as opposed to skill."
an you are correct about the introduction thread for the shield of capacity, here it is:

i wonder why it was never placed in the wiki?
d'oh, it is in the wiki, just not listed with the effects but rather in the strategy & comments section. i guess i am the only one to not see that though...
Jiggy is crying without his endurance.
