are clan bonuses lower? (in General)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 2:49 PM EST

Rank / Bonus: 10 / 4.6%

that number seems low for the rank, anyone else notice issues?

bartjan January 26 2009 2:50 PM EST

Total # of clans fits on 1 page; maybe that's why?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 3:06 PM EST

i am not entirely sure, but i think i am only getting 1/2 of what i should for clan fights.

winner winner January 26 2009 3:07 PM EST

it's fine, we're third and we only have 12.7%

AdminTal Destra January 26 2009 3:07 PM EST

dudemus they cleaned up the clans

winner winner January 26 2009 3:09 PM EST

How did they decide which ones to get rid of?

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 3:10 PM EST

i guess it is just that most of my opponent's clans aren't earning a bonus.

who cleaned up clans?

Sickone January 26 2009 3:14 PM EST

They probably went into the negatives for too long and were auto-disbanded.
I suppose the recent clan points contest had something to do with it.

Hakai [Aye Phelta Thi] January 26 2009 3:29 PM EST

Well, I for one hope they go back to the old bonuses.

1st place is still getting a 15% bonus, but now the next best is only 13.8%...

QBRanger January 26 2009 3:44 PM EST

Since the beginning of CB2, on Mondays clan bonuses are not as high for the lower clans as later in the week.

As more clans start fighting, more get a positive number and then the higher clans get a higher bonus.

It seems that a % of clans with + score get a bonus. Therefore more + clans = more with bonus and bonuses are more concentrated.

IE: Monday at 6am, only perhaps 20 clans have any positive number, so the bonuses are spread out.

by Tuesday, many more clans get a positive number and the bonuses clans get are closer together.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 3:46 PM EST

yeah, it is 25 percent of existing clans i believe. but since we are down to just over 50 clans that means that only around 13 to 14 clans are going to be getting a bonus until more reform.

how many clans had we been having recently?

QBsutekh137 January 26 2009 4:16 PM EST

Sweeeeeeeeet! At least I can stop being in a clan if my bonuses are zero anyway! It's a lose-win for me!

QBsutekh137 January 26 2009 4:17 PM EST

Weren't clans always cleaned up in some automatic fashion? Why the seemingly lower bonuses on this particular Monday?

AdminShade January 26 2009 4:37 PM EST

Because a lot of fighting to specific targets of last week.

btw, first clan always gets 15% and the rest is just fitted below it. With 10 clans, the steps are different than with 100 clans.

If you want better clan bonuses, fight low clans and get them into the negatives ;)

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 5:17 PM EST

my theory is that many in clans were targetting the clan supporter maker solely. these people would normally have been maximizing their clan points and thus generating more clan points through fighting clan members with a bonus.

so basically we had fewer clan points being generated which meant fewer to go around which also meant more clans were disbanded than normal. it does all hinge on the fact that we had very few clans to start the day with though, of that i am sure even if i am not certain of the reason for it.

Cube January 26 2009 6:51 PM EST

It happens every single Monday, since no points are gained on Sunday. IIRC it's a percentage of nonzero Clans, so tapping a few clans with zero points should help.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 6:53 PM EST

going from over a hundred clans to less than fifty does not happen every monday. today was different for some reason, surmised above. ; )

QBJohnnywas January 26 2009 7:21 PM EST

Total number of clans has almost doubled within the last couple of hours...

AdminTal Destra January 26 2009 7:22 PM EST

guys the 0 point clans aren't listed lol

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 7:26 PM EST

"Flaming Eternity (0)"

on my list they are. your list must be elitist!

QBOddBird January 26 2009 7:29 PM EST

LOL. Elistist list.

Oh, you.

Rawr January 26 2009 7:33 PM EST

I like this better - less bonus for me, but makes clan fighitng much more competitive!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 7:37 PM EST

" I like this better - less bonus for me, but makes clan fighitng much more competitive!"

it used to be more like this all of the time. it would actually stay more like this if people didn't spread out so much into smaller clans but rather bunched up.

i like more people getting bonuses though, it means more six point clan targets!

Tyriel [123456789] January 26 2009 8:03 PM EST

I'm guessing that clans that have scored no points (positive or negative) are considered 'inactive' (and useless!), and aren't counted, seeing as the 0-point clan showing has lost and gained some points.

I think it's a good change. Clans could use a bit more competitive spirit. :D

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] January 26 2009 11:21 PM EST

so it is looking like the percentage is based on true non-zero clans as cube said and that true non-zero clans aren't shown in the standard clans list until such time as they are no longer true non-zeroes.

one suggestion was to "tap" the non-zeroes to change their state, my question is this...how do you find them if they aren't listed?
