A not very well thought out idea. (in Off-topic)

Why not take away the cash rewards in a battle? You fight for XP or you forge for $$. Seems fun...

AdminTitan February 9 2009 12:25 AM EST

/me doesn't think then replies. The seems like a great idea.

Eliteofdelete [Battle Royale] February 9 2009 12:25 AM EST

How exactly would we get money in the first place?

Wizard'sFirstRule February 9 2009 12:38 AM EST

forge + disenchant.

three4thsforsaken February 9 2009 12:40 AM EST

of course USD people will continue to have the complete advantage. But even more so now.

Bad idea. I agree it wasn't very well thought out.

Soul Eater February 9 2009 12:50 AM EST

I agree it's a bad idea. I don't see how taking away money will help anyone except the people who buy CBD with USD. Also forging is flippin hard.

BadFish February 9 2009 12:54 AM EST

Forging is not hard. You don't have to have any skill or strategy to forge. You simply follow the wiki and charge accordingly.

Still, this is just too huge of a change to ever be implemented. It could probably be done in a way that was balanced, but it just wouldn't be carnage blender anymore. Noone wants that.

AdminShade February 9 2009 1:55 AM EST

How will you make money then when you start out as a new player?

Forging with a 1 mpr character to 'make' money while not even having enough money to pay for forging fees is every so slightly not well thought of...

i got an idea, listen up:

im a forger so this popped into my head, you can eliminate botchecks entirely. make the list of subjects (quench, cast, heat) buttons that randomly appear on a page (random order) and that you have to click the right one to keep forging. any reason this could go wrong (and i just thought of one)?

whats wrong with it you might ask? you could write a script searching bot to target the correct labeled button and click it.

Adminedyit February 9 2009 4:57 AM EST

if i don't make $ from fighting, how could i possibly pay you to forge my items?

Lochnivar February 9 2009 5:05 AM EST

Mad props for the accuracy of the subject line though!

Wizard'sFirstRule February 9 2009 5:25 AM EST

*cough* *cough* I will deny ever making this thread. *cough* *cough*

AdminShade February 9 2009 5:54 AM EST

Tal: also you could create a script to just react on the next entry field, by not having to search at all but just follow the heat heat spell quench quench sequence :)

bad idea
