Why not take away the cash rewards in a battle? You fight for XP or you forge for $$. Seems fun...
/me doesn't think then replies. The seems like a great idea.
How exactly would we get money in the first place?
of course USD people will continue to have the complete advantage. But even more so now.
Bad idea. I agree it wasn't very well thought out.

I agree it's a bad idea. I don't see how taking away money will help anyone except the people who buy CBD with USD. Also forging is flippin hard.

Forging is not hard. You don't have to have any skill or strategy to forge. You simply follow the wiki and charge accordingly.
Still, this is just too huge of a change to ever be implemented. It could probably be done in a way that was balanced, but it just wouldn't be carnage blender anymore. Noone wants that.

How will you make money then when you start out as a new player?
Forging with a 1 mpr character to 'make' money while not even having enough money to pay for forging fees is every so slightly not well thought of...
i got an idea, listen up:
im a forger so this popped into my head, you can eliminate botchecks entirely. make the list of subjects (quench, cast, heat) buttons that randomly appear on a page (random order) and that you have to click the right one to keep forging. any reason this could go wrong (and i just thought of one)?
whats wrong with it you might ask? you could write a script searching bot to target the correct labeled button and click it.
if i don't make $ from fighting, how could i possibly pay you to forge my items?

Tal: also you could create a script to just react on the next entry field, by not having to search at all but just follow the heat heat spell quench quench sequence :)
bad idea
