Possible ToE buff (in General)

How do you guys feel about having the ToE grant a small amount of life regeneration (rather than training SS at 1/10 of its level) to the wearer?

If the SS is un-dispel-able, then it seems to work quite beautifully as is - providing further damage reduction plus the SS effect to other Wall minions on the team.
I'm honestly unsure how I feel about that. I think I'd rather have the SS effect, though, if it cannot be dispelled than have the life regeneration - mostly because it almost effectively puts the ToE on your Wall minion.

The ToE grants the SS effect, not the SS spell. Only increases the Innate Armor of the wearer.

I think the ToE needs something, because as of now it seems to be best at a relatively low tattoo level (1M, maybe?), and leveling it more than that just results in an inflated PR rating without any real benefit.
I think it should give some AC to the wearing as if it was wearing AC. And then it should give more SS. take away the other abilities.
I want a wall tattoo!

ToE on a wall minion? HAH! SC+AC = ~40% of your AC (If your gear is comparably upgraded)...

Ew, to the wearer only? Who makes a half ToE half Wall minion? I say buff it, now that I'm aware of that.
If it put the effect on ALL minions, however, now that would be a worthwhile tattoo to have.
You know, I think it should at the bare least give a large amount of SS to the entire team.
Notice how not half as many people are using AC anymore. AC is good. I like AC.
I say don't buff it, does anyone think of the other side of a buff/nerf before you suggest it. ToE's already make it an almost auto win against tanks, but do nothing against mages. So, it's doing it's job against tanks quite well. If you want it buffed, buff it in a different way.

Dude, it needs to be buffed because it's literally useless after a certain tattoo level. You get the biggest increase for the first 500k or 1M levels, then it drastically drops. Going from 30 to 35 percent damage reduction would take millions of levels.
Every single other tattoo increases linearly except the ToE. This makes the ToE suck, because it still increases your PR linearly.

ToE's do NOT make it an auto-win against tanks.
Ummm Goodfish, first off, the endurance is a percentage, so if it increased linerally, that means over time the ToE would nullify tank damage. Secondly 50% damage reduction against tanks is nothing to scoff at, nothing at all. If you have a ToE and are losing to tanks of your level you seriously need to take a second look at your strat.

Titan, I'm not asking for the ToE's endurance to increase linearly. I'm just saying that it needs to be changed in some way, even if it's something as simple as reducing its PR weight.
Currently, a 1.1M ToE gives 41% Endurance (41% damage reduction) while a 6.5M, NAMED ToE gives 51.5%. That's a measly 25% increase for basically a 500% increase in PR weight. And frankly that sucks.
So here are what could change:
1. PR weight, or NW as level increases
2. Add a tertiary effect to the tattoo that increases linearly
3. Scrap the item entirely because without a change, it's worthless
;)

Make it add a certain number of HP to your character.
I have no idea about balance but have it add its level in hp dispersed evenly among all your minions.
Of course non-dispelled via DM.
That's alot of HP. It'll make RoS, a little....obsolete?
not to say I wouldn't mind such a tattoo, but...

"That's alot of HP. It'll make RoS, a little....obsolete?"
I agree, I don't see any RoS teams that don't put it on anything other than AS.

Alot of hp? As long as it was balanced correctly, this wouldn't be a problem..... noone said it had to add as much hp as the RoS adds in ED levels.
but if it adds more than RoS and is non dispellable. Why use RoS?

"but if it adds more than RoS and is non dispellable. Why use RoS?"
Yes, okay, I realize that would be overpowered. That's why I'm saying don't have it give as many levels in HP as the RoS gives into ED....? If it added more than the RoS it would be too strong, so... we don't make it that strong. Keep its other effects and just add maybe 1/10 of its level in hp. or even get rid of the steelskin effect, since with ToE on you can't use AC or SC and that's a huge chunk of AC not affected by SS.

Because the ROS also protects other spells such as GA.
My change to the TOE will not do that.
You can decide if you want more HP, or want protection from DM.
Also, do not forget the other major benefit of using a ROS-the ability to use both AMF/EC and DM yourself.
So your getting either more HP from the TOE, or protection from DM and the ability to use both AMF and DM and EC yourself.
A nice decision to make.
