QBOddBird April 16 2009 5:42 PM EDT

I haven't done a contest in a while, so let's try this for a small one. I'm going to post a question, and you post a funny punch line! Best one wins.

100k prize up for grabs, so what's your best punch line for...

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party?

QBRanger April 16 2009 5:44 PM EDT

Because cosplay is not a real word and Bast will blow you up from the inside.

Invader Sye April 16 2009 6:00 PM EDT

They're all expendable like the Storm Troopers.

Thak April 16 2009 6:41 PM EDT

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] April 16 2009 7:12 PM EDT

Because the LARPers would have too much fun with you!

Soul Eater April 16 2009 7:30 PM EDT

Because the Death Star gets blown up. *Watches Death Star Cosplayer get attacked by a bunch of tie-fighter cosplayers and get blown up*

QBOddBird April 16 2009 7:31 PM EDT

I'd like to note I only included that image as a reference...your jokes do not all have to be about someone dressing up as the death star..

Demigod April 16 2009 7:39 PM EDT

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party? If you come to a party dressed as a storm trooper, you're guaranteed not to get your wookie Leia-ed.

Soul Eater April 16 2009 8:24 PM EDT

Although you say that all Cosplayers are nerds I agree but I am going to be making a Renton Thurston costume and or maybe a Lelouch costume for Sakura Con next year.

QBOddBird April 16 2009 10:29 PM EDT

...bump :)

MOAR funny! If this contest is successful, there will be others like it.

Eurynome Bartleby [Bartleby's] April 16 2009 10:34 PM EDT

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party?

There is none. I mean, if there's alcohol...as time passes, you'll be a more and more sexy Vader. Alcohol always wins.

Wizard'sFirstRule April 16 2009 11:00 PM EDT

what is a punch line? /facepalm

Wizard'sFirstRule April 16 2009 11:01 PM EDT

an even better punch line:

StarWars? This is Sparta!!!

Gunny Pew Pew [Red Permanent Assurance] April 16 2009 11:20 PM EDT

Raveshaw will want to spoon with you.

AdminShade April 17 2009 2:54 AM EDT

Biggest reason is that there cannot be 2 Padmé's at the same party. 1 of them would be fake and therefore expelled from the cosplay ;)

smallpau1 - Go Blues [Lower My Fees] April 17 2009 8:19 AM EDT

ROFL, that image violated the photo bucket Terms of Use?

Wizard'sFirstRule April 17 2009 8:24 AM EDT

"because whoever you dress up as, your night will end as a hans solo."
I think this should win, at least get an honorable mention.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] April 17 2009 9:01 AM EDT

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party?

1) Because a large-eyed creature at the bar gives you a rough shove, and his mate has to translate "He doesn't like you". Which ends in someone getting thier arm cut off.

2) Because Darth Vader would have you now...

3) Becuase a fat worm would put a price on your head so large, every bounty hunter in the galaxy will be looking for you.

But worse of all, after scoring a hot date at the party, as things get cosy;

4) No, no. Didn't go in. Just impacted on the surface...

QBOddBird April 17 2009 3:59 PM EDT

bumped.

WTH, Photobucket. Just WTH

j'bob April 17 2009 6:12 PM EDT

and the answer is...
(holding envelope to head)

because your picture will wind up in some demented lil fellows contest and some other poor schmuck will try to win with out having any idea what the picture looked like because he didn't log in and check the thread out till said picture (or video) wiolated photobucket's terms of use.

:D

j'bob April 17 2009 6:13 PM EDT

with less "w" and a bit more "v" even.

Demigod April 17 2009 9:02 PM EDT

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party?

Because you might look like such a dork, even Photobucket won't want you. :)

Xiaz on Hiatus April 17 2009 9:33 PM EDT

Because George Lucas would tear you a new wan.

Invader Sye April 17 2009 10:06 PM EDT

"Your Millennium Falcon will never ever get a chance to pass the blockade."

rrowland April 17 2009 10:50 PM EDT

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party?
What's the point? Han Solo gets all the wookie.

j'bob April 17 2009 10:52 PM EDT

He did it all for the wookie, yeah the wookie!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] April 18 2009 12:23 AM EDT

Wizard'sFirstRule April 18 2009 2:44 AM EDT

I think the following sentence sums up this contest well:
either it has non-PG context or it just isn't funny at all...

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] April 18 2009 3:02 AM EDT

I vote PK as the winner for his blunt summarization of this contest.

kevlar April 19 2009 12:40 AM EDT

What's the biggest reason NOT to cosplay a Star Wars figure at a costume party?

Because if either PK or Nayab show up, the party will poop. :P

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] April 19 2009 2:01 AM EDT

kevlar April 19 2009 4:08 AM EDT

Nayab create your own contest before you try to go all righteous on someone else's please :) TYVM

Invader Sye April 19 2009 4:18 AM EDT

People cosplay Star Wars because they can't fit into the spandex to be a Trekkie.

{WW]Nayab [Cult of the Valaraukar] April 19 2009 7:13 AM EDT

i wasn't being Righteous Kevlar, i was just making a response to yours!
