Joins and Leaves? (in General)

messages that state xxxx enters chat and xxxx leaves chat.

I like it myself.

ah i was told the 1st person to join after the game came back online had a capital C in Carnage thus it reverted to this rather then how its setup on the normal channel "carnage" (all lower case)

guess were stuck waiting till an admin can reset the server

I don't mind waiting, myself. I like knowing when other people aside from ChatOps only enter.

I love the join/leave messages, too.

I know lots of people who are glad to see them back. ^_^ I'm more than happy with keeping them.

It was actually 'CARNAGE'. ;)

Admins can't reset the server...

All caps "CARNAGE" was the one that made it act like it was a user-created room, I don't think it worked with "Carnage" at the time. Nevertheless, I kinda like the messages as well. It shows CB'ers do something, lol. At least it's something.

No: the room name without caps is "carnage"

Having a room with a name "Carnage" (with a capital C) acts like a user-created room with joins and leaves.

"Carnage" will have the same properties as "CARNAGE", "CaRnAgE", or anything of that sort.

"cranage", on the other hand, won't cut it.

Guess I'll have to scrap my petition to change the game to Cranage Blender then.

oops, yes i was the first person into chat when it came back up, i also have Carnage in my settings rather than carnage...

Just for the record, my computer actually did freeze, and I sincerely apologized for it when I came back into chat. I've only seen deifeln7 refresh those two times, which was just for the fun of it I assume. So I didn't see much need to kick him for it. :)

Purposefully refreshing was considered spamming before we got the "old "new"" version of the carnage chat. When the lack of joins/leaves messages came in, everyone forgot about it. Now that they're back, its spamming. Which you kick for.
