AoJ works with Evasion now (in Changelog)

AdminNightStrike May 5 2009 6:14 PM EDT

Evasion should be additive now between the minion and the familiar.

AdminTal Destra May 5 2009 6:14 PM EDT

HOLY CRAP!!!

someone sell me a jiggy

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] May 5 2009 6:44 PM EDT

Er Wow?

I managed to boost UC to (425) (or around there) with an AoJ and high end UC gear. I can't remember the trained level for that effect, but it's got to give around 5 Million in Evasion.

That's over 200 Evasion, prior to stacking with the innate Evasion the Minion would have from a High UC.

Dude, can I borrow your gear again tomorrow? I'll ask for the General to be unretired again and get some Evasion numbers.

AdminQBnovice [Cult of the Valaraukar] May 5 2009 6:51 PM EDT

No change on my side with evasion of 125 and 185 dbs (effect of 207 on the familiar)

QBRanger May 5 2009 6:53 PM EDT

Novice,

Is that not the effect one gets with trained evasion and DBs. They are not additive by a linear method.

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 5 2009 6:54 PM EDT

yeah, before it would overwrite the familiars evasion with that of the db's. now it adds them in the same way evasion would stack.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] May 5 2009 6:57 PM EDT

An AoJ minion with natural Evasion (from UC or Evasion itself) would overwrite any Evasion the minion might have (only really applies to Jigs).

But if they stack now. Damn. That's going to be interesting.

three4thsforsaken May 5 2009 6:58 PM EDT

Hehe, thanks NS. I'm going to enjoy this change immensely.

AdminNightStrike May 5 2009 7:07 PM EDT

The evasion on the minion should be added to any existing evasion on the familiar. The DB should stack in the usual way, as well.

Previously, the evasion on the minion would overwrite the evasion on the familiar, making the JKF painful to use.

QBRanger May 5 2009 7:09 PM EDT

Will the evasion level be added to the familiar before or after its effect is calculated based upon the minions dexterity?

Right now it is based on after. IE the minions dexterity, typically 20, lowers evasion by 40%. Then transfers to the familiar.

AdminNightStrike May 5 2009 7:15 PM EDT

um... I don't know.

AdminQBGentlemanLoser [{END}] May 5 2009 8:11 PM EDT

Evasion works.

Whatever Evasion effect you have, after Dex penalties, on the minion is added directly to the Evasion effect of the Familiar.

A Jigg with 88 Native Evasion and a minion with post Dex pen 135 Evasion resulted in the Jig gaining an Evasion of 223.

Training Dex to off set the penalty onthe minion, increased the minions Evasion, and also increased the Jigs by the same amount.

Have fun! ;)

(Training natural Evasion instead of UC on your minion and Junctioning it to a Jig provides a larger Evasion benefit, but at the expense of not also increasing the Jigs 'weapon')

FYI, (306) UC is 17mil levels. (425) is probably 23mil if not 25mil.

So does this mean that AoJ + Jiggy is uber until this bug is fixed, or was stuff fixed after this was pointed out?

AdminTitan [The Sky Forge] May 5 2009 9:53 PM EDT

It hasn't been fixed yet, CC.

three4thsforsaken May 5 2009 9:55 PM EDT

Oh jeez, it adds the EFFECT to the jiggy? That's crazy!

Admindudemus [jabberwocky] May 5 2009 10:20 PM EDT

likely not for long though, from the known issues page by ns:

Fixed most of AOJ. Left: UC+HG, and Evasion stacking.
