unplug/replug the keyboard, reboot, check to see if there is any programs that are running that shouldn't be with task manager. Try another keyboard if you have one.

try plugging an external keyboard into it. If that works then you know you have an issue with the keypad. If same thing then system.

I had a problem like this a while back it was a virus and a nasty one to boot. I couldn't type anything right only thing that worked was Tab and Enter. Microsoft Defender saved the day. Try a virus scan if you can then a male/ad/spyware scan afterwards. A rollback may help with this as well you never know you might have gotten a bad update *shruggs*

Probably touching the static pad when typing. It happens to me all the time. If you have one on your LT. Try disabling it or type with your wrist in the air not resting on them on the comp.
