i am not sure how i feel about this news story! (in Off-topic)
i think i can sympathize with the pusher, this is the 12th time its happenned since april and this last one was 5hours long. a man can only take so much.
yep, given all of that i fear i might have cheered the pusher and then felt guilty about it later! ; )

... Wow. First I was like... no way! Then I started laughing because of the 30 foot fall onto a cushion. >.>
That man has a lot more guts than I do. Both of them haha.

8 yards? That's the height he chose to jump from? Really?
May 26 2009 1:52 PM EDT
Eight meters hon, thats thirty feet-ish :)
May 26 2009 1:56 PM EDT
8 yards isn't actually that high you'd most likely survive a jump from that height, but not if you did a swan dive.
May 26 2009 2:02 PM EDT
8 meters is roughly 26 feet. It's an easy way to break your back, survive, and suffer more.
8 meters is 8.752 yards not much diff.
xD we all are thinking it
That it? If I was to commit suicide I'd at least pick a spot that was going to work well. Glad he got pushed though. If I was there my words would have been.
"Stop talking about it and jump"

I saw this story this morning and thought the guy died and felt horrible, but when I read it later I realized what actually happened. Cheers to the pusher..
I'd love to see a video of this. xD

If the guy had died, would it have been attempted murder or assisted suicide?
May 27 2009 12:14 AM EDT
If the guy had died I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have gone under 'attempted' murder.
May 27 2009 1:29 AM EDT
after 5 hours the guy probably had some important plans, like Bingo. Don't mess with Bingo time.
(this story is crazy!)

hmm that didn't seem that high. are they sure he wasn't bird watching? (I guess you could die from that fall, but 9.8 m/s... seemed about 1 second for the fall, 30 ft?)

is it weird that i found it funny when he pushed him off O.O
"...Chen, 2 million yuan ($293,200) in debt because of a failed building project, fell 8 metres (yards) onto a partially inflated emergency air cushion..."
"...Chen was at least the twelfth person since early April to threaten suicide at the same spot..."
Why do they keep moving the cushion?
hehe, was half expecting to see a video of Obama pushing a man off a bridge in kevlar's link :P
May 27 2009 4:17 AM EDT
lol, the video from LiveLeak... I was actually expecting something like, man runs angrily towards suicidal man on ledge of bridge, and pushes him off. You know, in a spur of the moment.
But no, this guy climbs all the way up there, sits with the suicidal guy for a short while, gives him a hand and sends him flying.
In the top case, I could've understood.
May 27 2009 4:20 AM EDT
Well I that was just horrible, glad he didn't get killed, he should get help instead of getting pushed by old senile morons.
I got no problems with people who dont have the capabilities to empathize with a sick individual, otherwise I would spend my time being angry.

Rofl, what a hilarious video. A tiny wink in one of the eyes and you got some serious satire going on. Amazing how people manage to fool themselves. "Pro abortion" rofl.
