Let's go for a Pair of Spellboosters

I voted for the Hal, just to be divisive.

Corn and Hal both have the most bids

Spellboosters are now leading, so it looks like that's the BMVG item.

I thought we agreed after the BoM to go after another HF.

I believe that there was tacit agreement, if only because there was no dissent.

I voted for the BoM just to get it out to be able to spawn a HF.

If this will keep on happening, changing things on the fly, we will go back to people voting for whatever they want.

I say we spawn the HF then SBs.

the whole BMVG is not democratic. You have some people voting following the VG, then you have some that spawn whatever they want. Those that spawns whatever the want will always get the decide the next item while those who follow have no say in the next spawn.

That's very true... but is there a better method? While it's frustrating to think that any clan or group of four players can vote away and hijack the BMVG, I haven't heard of a better method. And voting for how to vote just seems convoluted.

how bout a weekly poll on what people want spawned next in the blackmarket?

Voting for how to vote would work, but we'd need an admin to volunteer to post it each week.

You'd want a news item every week for the BMVG? That's an idea but really hard to implement. (reason is that I'm not sure if Jon or NS would agree with such a thing)

Don't know if this week's SB's were spawned but I won a pair from auction, :D

I remember a very short period of time where everyone played along and voted the consensus in the BM. The items everyone wanted were decided in a thread and everyone generally was on the same page. It was generally pretty efficient.

Then everyone started changing their names on a weekly basis and it became very hard to remember who was actually posting the 'Official' BMVG each week. Some took advantage of this and posted their own BMVG's and people voted that way as they really had no idea who was actually supposed to be posting them.

I would personally vote the will of the people if I knew who 'the keeper' of the BMVG is supposed to be. The way it is now, if I see a BMVG thread, I vote that way as I'm really not sure who is taking care of it.

'BMVG' should be added to the spellcheck.

Last Gasp did it, as I recall. Why don't we vote for what item we'd like in each official BMVG thread, like we used to?

LG and I used to post the BMVG. I kinda gave up when all of the disagreement kept coming up. I just post in threads to remind people to use their vote now.

When the last edition of the BMVG came out, we spawned a HF, then agreed to spawn a BOM and then another HF.

Seems people now disregard and go for anything they want.

black market is called a black market for a reason. having polls would make the spawning too easy. the reason for this discussion is because the essence of the black market makes us discuss what we want to spawn

You know what? I vote only Cotillon can start BMVG threads, he is good enough to run it, has in the past, there just has to be only one person doing it to get an accurate start.

I'd say to vote for the HF first as it'll require less votes to spawn. Can't really expect people to vote for the HF if they see SBs in the title and don't read the actual thread, but overwriting a current BMVG with a new BMVG kind of confuses things as people might keep bumping this one to continue their arguments.

Maybe I need to start offering cash rewards to people who for vote the BMVG item, and another cash reward for them to offer a vote in the BMVG thread for the next item to be voted for.

i have to say that i made BMVG posts for a short while only cause i felt the thread did not reflect what was being voted. but its like this, people will vote what you want until you tell them what they should be voting for next. this is the black market, and i think that sometimes one black market vote (unconfirmed*) can randomly spawn an item via the auctioneer so feel free to wish for what you want.
