testing eg/hg with junctioned jkf (in General)

i am always told that hg would be much better for me than hg, so i decided to run some numbers. i rented named plus 13 hg which compare pretty well to the nw on my plus 14 named eg's.

the number before the ~ will be with elven gloves whereas the number after the ~ will be with the helm's.

strength 2,303,673 ~ 2,726,790
dexterity 6,299,802 ~ 2,726,790
unarmed combat 3600 ~ 3720
bonus to hit 216 ~ 223
evasion 135 ~ 139

i tend to think the extra damage granted by another hit might outweigh the extra damage granted by bonus to hit difference of 7 and strength difference of about 400k. four points of evasion is probably not that much a game breaker either.

am i missing something?

Wow that seems like way more than a +14% increase to DX

the EGs doubled your dex?

And the extra dexterity helps in evading attacks as well... But the HG is good for an initial setup for JKF.

d'oh, the dex for hg's should have read: 5,453,581.

sorry about that!

corrected table:

strength 2,303,673 ~ 2,726,790
dexterity 6,299,802 ~ 5,453,581
unarmed combat 3600 ~ 3720
bonus to hit 216 ~ 223
evasion 135 ~ 139

How can the EGs more than double your dexterity?
