A crazy gamechanging thought.... (in Debates)

Thought of this while talking with nov in chat. So many people talk about how much dedication a player has and how much they spend etc when they talk about reaching the top but what about who's the best at strategy. Heres an idea to make it more relevent:

multiply the Score:PR ratio by 150% So suddenly everybody would have 50% greater score. in lower ranks it would only make high CB easier while at the top it would allow even the #1 to get a positive CB. Once you reach the top everybody goes USD shopping with no care in the world about jacking up their PR's with overexpesive items because at the end of the day they will never have a positive CB. If people were forced to better manage PR their would be less USD (except x's on weapons) unless a person thought the added PR would add another higher CB opponent.

Next Make the difference between say a 38% bonus and a 37% much greater for rewards. This would force the people at the top to want to fight at the absolute highest challenge bonus as possible. Basically it would allow a person who keeps their challenge bonuses up by careful PR usage to pass a person at the top who has over blown their PR with no thought to strategy.

If implemented corrently it would end the problems with staleness at the top as well as the current problem of passing a person who puts in equal effort. Correct me if I'm wrong but people in the top say 20 who put in the exact same effort of burning will never pass eachother because the rewards are all at 0% CB.

Thoughts.

worse things have been suggested today

Hmm it is a thought but since I am not there I cannot tell you if it has true merit. From my own personal standpoint, however, I will say that I think it is workable. I would ask thought how to implement it without ruining N*Bs? If those percentages are only for Regular chars then neither one of the N*Bs has a chance of making and actual run for the top. :/

"multiply the Score:PR ratio by 150%"
What do you mean by "Score:PR ratio?" AFAIK, score is determined by the score of opponents you defeat. I don't even know if there's such a thing as a "base score" for a PR that gets multiplied by this or that or affects how much score is added to or taken from opponents. Or do you mean increase the amount of score gained from each fight by 50%? Or do you mean just multiply everyone's scores by 1.5 all at once one day?

"Make the difference between say a 38% bonus and a 37% much greater for rewards."
This wouldn't make sense unless rewards were increased dramatically, since the difference is 1% of base rewards (right?). I think changing how rewards scale based on challenge bonus would involve a whole revamp of the challenge bonus system in order to make significant changes.

what I mean is this and this idea is mainly applicable in the top tiers and can be figured out for everyone else later.

The person at the top currently has much more PR than their Score. This causes everybody up top to get 0 challenge bonus. As soon as you have a 0 challenge bonus and no negative there is no incentive to keep down your PR as there was earlier in the game. IF scores at the top were however 10,000,000 with the character having a PR of 8,000,000 then that would imply a positive CB. If somebody up top could figure out how to get a positive CB they would dominate a person like freed or ranger in the long term because they would be getting greater xp rewards.

Now what if scores were reworked to force the highest players to have a gap between their PR and Score. I believe there is a soft cap for score that is your PR currently. What if that cap was 150% of your PR instead of 100.

ranger has some pretty hefty equipment on his team since buying it. i grow my pr much more slowly.

i get a positive challenge bonus on a few of my opponents because my pr is low enough to still allow it. i would guess that with his pr he does not get a challenge bonus or if he does it would be small.

so the game already does this somewhat even in the 6/20 zone as you are exempt from negative challenge bonuses but can still get positive ones, just not with a very high pr.

The biggest increase to my PR of course is my bow.

And it is only the 5th biggest weapon in the game.

I get between 1-7% CB vs FTW. The rest, none.

i do think, since the score on training cap, that we should have a bit more score entering the game through fighting. perhaps ramping it up in 10 percent increments until we reach the sweet spot?
