Welcome to the game. Any time you have questions, just let us know. The first question you'll have is why you can't use your whip, and the answer is because Magic Missile overrides it.

Welcome to CB! I'll give a suggestion - try and use 1-2 damage dealers on a team, and if you have more minions than 1-2, use them as support. 3 tanks might seem like a good idea, but that means each has 1/3 of the power of a single minion tank, and you also have to divide your money into 3 weaker weapons instead of one powerful one.

It's an expensive way to go.
